One of My Worst Days
One of my Worst Days

On April 2,2010, I received unbelievable news that changed my life forever. While sitting at "Designing U" hair salon with my mother Lashonda all morning, boredom soon kicked in. I logged onto Facebook and started reading many deviating posts that all mentioned a guy named Dre. As time went by, I started to wonder was everyone talking about my church friend De'Andre Johnson. Once realization set in, my biggest fear became true. While continuing to read the Facebook posts, I came across Dre's cousin Davion Johnson status. Davion explained how he couldn't believe something this tragic happened, "Dre was the light of everyones eyes, he was always caring and helping anyone with anything", says Davion. Not only was Dre his cousin they were like two peas in a pod. From going to the same school all their lives , to becoming stars on Byhalia High School football team.

As minutes passed by my father Charles contacted my mother lashonda and I. He informed us that Dre had been out all morning with two of his friends. The two other teenagers were a boy and a girl, whom i don't know personally til this day. The young lady was known to be the driver, according to her, while driving down highway 78, she swerved to dodge another vehicle and lost control of the car. With the vehicle flipping and neither of the teens wearing seat-belts it didn't make the situation better. The two teens were rushed to the ER and My church friend Dre was pronounced dead at the scene.

I had many unanswered questions to why this occurred. For instance, "Why did Dre have to be the only one?" "Why couldn't he leave this world a peaceful way" and "Why couldn't his family and I see him walk across the stage this year?". Dre would've been a senior this year and would've had the chance to shine on the football like he loved doing. His football number, #52, was spray painted onto BHS football field as the team played in the playoffs last

His mother and father divorced, and his mother started using and dealing drugs. She had multiple boyfriends over and they were abusive. She always got high, rarely paid the bills, but still loved Dwyane. Another very important date in Dwyane’s life was when his favorite and closest sister Tragil tricked him that they were going to see a movie. Tupac Shakur Review

Tupac Shakur is known by his stage name 2pac. He was born on June 16, 1971 and he passed away on September 13, 1996. He got he’s education at Paul Laurence Dunbar high school. And he also went to Baltimore school for the arts. He was a legend in hip-hop and rap for his talent. Shakur has sold over 75 million albums worldwide. He was also one of the best-selling music artists in the world. Many people didn’t like rap and still to this day people don’t like rap. The only reason people didn’t like rap because, they didn’t unstained it. Tupac wanted to change that and he did. He showed people it was more to rap then what they thought. Tupac showed people that rap isn’t negative. Rap is nothing more than a poem and poems are nothing more than a rap. He wrote verses then later he changed them into a song. He made rap beautiful. His poems are great and have a lot of meaning. My favorite poem is “I cry” by Tupac Shakur. The theme of this poem is that people should care more about one another. And instanced of judging people care to ask what is wrong? “The tears I cry are bitter and warm”-Tupac. What I get out of that verse is that he has been throw a lot bad and good times. “if I had an ear to confiding, I would cry among my treasured friend” these two verse say that no one want to hear what he has to say and he don’t have any friends. I feel by me reading this poem that I knew Tupac myself and I know he has been throw a lot in he’s life. And I know he was trying to be strong because he said “sometimes when I’m alone I cry” so he didn’t like walking around look sad. Something else I feel is that is that he felt that everyone back then only cared about their selves from these two verse “the world moves fast and it would rather pass by. Then to stop and see what makes one cry”-Tupac. I can really say that he is a talented…

Forcing himself on radio shows, freestyle battles, Marshall threw himself head first into the rap game, where he was swallowed up most of the time. His very first album was titled "Infinite" and, while the album sold less than a thousand copies, it was the gearing up stages for the rapper who became a millionaire. It was then that his daughter, Hailie Jade Scott, was born on December 25th of 1995 with long time girlfriend Kim Scott. Having nothing to lose at all, flat broke and not knowing where he would be living the next week, Marshall set out to rant about life in general, the set quickly caught the ear of hip-hop's difficult-to-please underground. What came out of this was the Slim Shady EP, the early work for the later Dr. Dre revised Slim Shady LP. Down to nearly his last dime, he went into the 1997 Rap Olympics in Los Angeles, basically hoping to win the $1,500 cash price which he badly needed. After battling for an hour and throwing back every race diss thrown at him, Marshall made it to second place losing in a slip up. Furious that he had lost, Marshall didn't even notice that he had been spotted. In the crowd were a few producers from Interscope, and they were handed a copy of the "Infinite" tape by way of a demo. Dr. Dre got to hear it and eventually tracked him down. The two instantly hit it off, recording four songs in the their first six hours of working - three which made it to his first LP. After the album was finished, Dr. Dre asked Marshall to come work with him on his new album. He helped produce several tracks and was on the best songs of the…

    My Worst Day at Work

My worst day at work is when I got fired. It all started on a cold snowy, Saturday morning when I got this feeling in the pit of my stomach on my way to work. As I was driving to work I was driving like I was in a funeral procession. Then I wander down sides streets on the other side of town, trying to give myself a little more time to organize my thoughts on why am I feeling like this. All kinds of disturbing images were spinning around in my head like grease spinning around in the sink when mix with water. A couple of times I had to slap myself in the head to minimize my thoughts, but backfired, because then I had to deal with a headache, too. Other cars and trucks, which didn’t honk their horns at me to increase my speed, passed me similar to a salmon swimming upstream.…

Parveen, you better get up right now or you will be late for school," my mother shouted from the kitchen. Lazily, I pulled the pillow off my face and looked at the clock. I got such a shock to see that the time was already 7.00a.m. I was indeed late. The bus will be here in 15 minutes time. I was definitely going to be late for school. I ran out of my room, grabbed my towel, and dashed into the bathroom. I had no time to bathe, so I just brushed my teeth and washed my face. I got into my uniform. Then I combed my hair. I opened my drawer hastily and pulled out the hair bream bottle. To my dismay, the cream had spilled out. My drawer was a mess. Oh no! Even my favourite ribbons were all smeared with the cream. Me and my butterfingers! I had to comb my hair without the hair cream today. I ran down to have my breakfast. It was ten past seven. Only five minutes to go. So, I took a few sips of milk. Then, I took my school bag from the chair. In a rush, I clumsily knocked down the glass of milk. Shatters of broken glass and milk were all over the carpet. My mum ran from the kitchen to see what had happened. She was so furious with me that she started lecturing me on my clumsiness. I had no time to clean up the mess, so I apologized and immediately went to front door to put on my shoes. Suddenly, I remembered that I left my lunch pack in the kitchen. Running back to kitchen, I almost cried when I heard the bus hooting outside. As fast as I could, I rushed to the door, but only to see that the bus had left. Well, at least I had a bicycle. I took it out from the shed and rode off to school on it. On the way, I suddenly felt that the road was bumpier then usual. I stopped and checked my tyres. What else could be worse? I had a flat tyre. Having no other options, I had to walk. I reached school around 7.45a.m. By that time, everyone was in class. After putting my bike under the bicycle shed, I went to my class. I knocked on the door. I explained…
