My Career Aspiration
My Career Aspiration When you begin high school people start asking you what your career path is or what do you want to do when you grow up? What I told them was that I want to grow up to become a doctor specialized in orthopedic surgery or neuro surgery. Also I want to specialize in cancer research so I can help find the cure for cancer and save many lives. The reasons why I want to be a doctor is because I want to help the people who are in need of medical attention and cannot afford it, to help find the cure for cancer, and my passion for science. One of the main reasons why I want to become a doctor is to help people who are in need of medical attention. A way I can help people is by building a hospital which can be used in the same way a free clinic works. This was the only thing that drives me to work hard to achieve my goals. As the recession still goes on people are afraid to go to the doctor’s to get checked up because it costs too much money. I want to build a hospital which can be a good use to people and I want to give free treatments and diagnosis to help with any medical problems they need help with. Also I want to help the country my parents originated from, India, since there is a large amount of poverty I want to help the people who need help. Another aspect of my goal in helping people is that I want to help with the research in finding the cure for cancer. One out of three people receive cancer and also in the near future 41 percent people in America will receive cancer. I want to research and study cancer so I can find a way to cure this disease so I can save lives. When I was young I used to watch the St. John Hopkins Hospital show and I saw how people with cancer suffered and I felt I had to do something to help them, so from that day I wanted to become a doctor and help find the cure for cancer so that I can stop the pain the people are suffering from. Another reason I want to become a doctor is my passion for science. When I was

There are two instances in my life that has inspired me to gain interest in medicine. My grandmother when I was around the age of twelve received double bypass surgery and I fell in love with the physician who took care of her. The physician was a middle aged woman who was one of the kindest person I have ever met, and she gave us the news of how everything went fine during surgery. She also gave us great confidence in how my grandmother would return to normal soon. The look on my parents and aunts face when she gave the news gave me goosebumps and to this day I feel the same goosebumps when I think about this. I just wanted to one day be in a position to deliver good news to a family and to see that “look” of relief on their faces. Another…

My goal in life is to transform healthcare. I believe we are in a time where the new school western medicine meets ancient Eastern practices. The incorporation of new technologies with humble understanding of how we affect our own health is what I want to bring to healthcare. This will require hours of study to understand the human body and explore ideas, but the path less taken is most rewarding. My passion is to consult people to become healthier, mentally and physically. I am a natural healer and listener. To be a value to individuals, I must gain as much knowledge as possible. The trusted pharmacist is the niche I fit so perfectly into. People will be seeking help and information and I can be the one that they turn to for solutions.…

My long-range career goals are to produce research on African-American women artist as it related to gender, racism, sexism and equality, produce scholarly literature and conduct scholarly presentations, and teach on a collegial level. In addition, I plan to continue this research to include women artists of the African Diaspora living in Central and South America, Africa and Europe. These women are also excluded from the history books and the classroom. However, I only can presume their experiences of gender, sexism, racism and inequality are similar to Africa-American woman artist living in the United…

When I was four years old I was asked, "Katie, what do you want to do when you grow up?” To my family's surprise my response was "Work on hearts or brains". This aspiration has never wavered, and has only become more a part of who I am today through first hand experiences and opportunities I have had in the medical field. I have been fortunate enough to see surgeries first hand, work next to medical professionals, and get an idea of what different occupations bring to the table in the field of medicine.…

I graduated from medical school in 2013 and continued to work in a multi-specialty hospital as a medical officer. During that time, I had the opportunity to care for a number of patients, from a different range of social, cultural and economic backgrounds, with diverse ailments. The most satisfying part for me, however, was the meaningful interactions I had with my patients. Behind the numerous chief complaints presented to me were real people, each with a story that shaped who they were and how they had come to that point in their lives. My four years of clinical practice taught me the essential elements necessary to be a great doctor; knowledge, good listening skills, compassion, and love for humanity.…

The medical field is a career path that brings about many options and opportunities of great value. The noble idea of being a doctor tends to cloud the diligent studying and precise training that is actually required for this career. I have wanted to become a doctor since a very young age, and now that the opportunity is here for the taking, I have fully researched what it takes to succeed in this profession and various specialties of the practice. The road to a medical degree is one filled with thousands of notes, years of schooling, and many stressful nights, but the reward is one incomparable to any other. Saving people’s lives on a day-to-day basis has been one of my dreams for as long as I can remember, so the rigorous curriculum and the competitive medical schooling is a fair trade for the lives I can save.
