Insomnia affects approximately more than 30% of the population. About 40 million Americans experience insomnia annually. Women are twice more likely to be affected by insomnia than men. Insomnia is also most likely to affect older adults. Adults with children will have more reports of insomnia than those who don’t. 1 in 3 individuals have had insomnia for at least one point in their lifetime. Insomnia will negatively cause changes in one's ability to maintain a clear mental state and emotional stability. Insomnia can also increase the risk of type two diabetes, substance abuse, illness and accidents, short term memory loss, and mental illness. In addition, 90% of people with depression are reported to also suffer from insomnia....
