Globar Warming
Global warming refers to the rise in the average temperature of the atmosphere due to the effect of greenhouse gases.
Greenhouse gas is a gas in the atmosphere that is been absorbs and emits it radiation at infrared range. The fundamental process of this act causes the greenhouse effect.
The greenhouse effect is a process where atmospheric greenhouse gases are been re-radiated into the atmosphere. The most abundant greenhouse gases in the atmosphere are;
• Water vapour
Carbon dioxide
• Methane
• Ozone.
Beside, there are non greenhouse gases that have no effect to the atmosphere and also non-greenhouse gases like carbon monoxide that has indirect radiation effect by elevating the concentration of methane in the atmosphere. One of the major contributors to the green house effect is Cloud. Cloud is a non gas contributor to the green house effect because it also absorbs and emits radiation in the atmosphere.
The recent change in the environment is as a result of human activity. These activities are the causes of Global warming;
Burning of fossils fuel by industrial increases the effect of the greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. Besides, burning of timber drive from deforestation increases the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere e.t.c.
Increase in the concentration of aerosols in the atmosphere.
DEFORESTATION: Deforestation refers to the removal of trees from forest whereby the land is converted to a non forest zone. This practice has an effect on the atmosphere by reducing carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. As we all know plant prepare their food through the use of carbon dioxide and water to give out oxygen as a waste product in order to maintain the normal level of oxygen in the atmosphere (photosynthesis).
Removal of trees reduces one of the greenhouse gases from the atmosphere which causes global warming. Carbon dioxide can be replenished by the government encouraging a process called afforest ion.
Aerosols refer to suspensions of liquid or

    Global warming is when the earth heats up and the temperature rises. This is caused by green house gases trap heat and light from the sun in the earth’s atmosphere which in turn causes the temperature to increase. Examples of these greenhouse gases are carbon dioxide, methane, carbon monoxide and nitrous oxide. (library.thinkquest.org, 2011).…

    Global warming is the rise of average temperature in the earth’s atmosphere since the late 19th century. Since the beginning of the early 20th century, the earths mean surface temperature had increased by around 0.8 degrees. Warming of the climate system had become more obvious and scientists are 90% sure that the main cause of the increase in temperature in due to the increasing concentrations of greenhouse gases due to human activities such as deforestation and burning of fossil fuels.…

    Carbon dioxide concentration has been increasing and it is because of the burning fossil fuel and rainforest burning as well. The pre industrial atmospheric concentration was a mere 270ppm or 270 parts per million but since the year 2012 is has increased to 400ppm. This can cause the man made part of the green house effect and can be blamed on the scientist for the global warming of the past century and plus more years. It is also believed that the concentration of methane in an extremely small amount which is measured also in the parts per millions has increased and had an effect on the greenhouse effect but is unknown what the specific reasoning is for it.…

    Greenhouse Effect is the trapping the heat inside the planet’s atmosphere. This occurs due to the gasses that are present in the Earth’s atmosphere. These gasses are Water vapor(H2O), Carbon dioxide (CO2), Methane (CH4) ,Nitrous oxide (N2O), Chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs). These gasses are produced by various amounts of human activities.…

    Cutting down the forests destroys other species’s habitats and causes erosion. Burning down the forests releases huge amount of CO2, which contributes to global warming and changes in global climate patterns. Burning coal for electricity is devastating. It also releases CO2 and greenhouse gases, which cause global warming, ice melting, and coral reef dying. Smoke from industries damages the ozone layer and causes acid rain.…

    2. Carbon dioxide is considered the main greenhouse gas because its widely abundant and contributes the most to the greenhouse effect. Even though it can be less potent, it is six times more prominent than other gases. An increase in water vapor can cause a positive feedback effect by creating a loop of increased water into the air by an increase of evaporation through an increase of temperature. A negative feedback effect loop sees an increase in clouds that shade or cool the earth. This could slow the warming by reflecting back more solar radiation into space.…

    Greenhouse gases are natural occurring gases that hold in some of the heat energy that comes from the sun and bounce off of the earths’ surface; it’s not that these gases are bad in nature, we actually depend on them to keep the climate of our earth at a sustainable temperature, with that being said though, they are only positive for our atmosphere in moderation. In nature the gases such as CO2, Nitrous Oxide and…

    The main human activities that contribute to global warming are the burning of fossil fuels (coal, oil, and natural gas) and the clearing of land. Most of the burning occurs in automobiles, in factories, and in electric power plants that provide energy for houses and office buildings (Juery Rohrer, 2007). The burning of fossil fuels creates carbon dioxide, whose chemical formula is CO2. CO2 is a greenhouse gas that slows the escape of heat into space. Trees and other plants remove CO2 from the air during photosynthesis, the process they use to produce food(Miller,…

    As defined by the EPA, greenhouse gases are “gases that trap heat in the atmosphere.” According to the Australian Government Department of the Environment and Energy, “The greenhouse effect is a natural process that warms the Earth’s surface. When the Sun’s energy reaches the Earth’s atmosphere, some of it is reflected back to space and the rest is absorbed and re-radiated by greenhouse gases.” Therefore, when humans release more greenhouse gases into the environment than the Earth can naturally absorb, the global temperature…
