Fore Fathers
Meredith Copeland
What I Would Tell America's Founding Fore Fathers If America's founding fore fathers were alive today, they would probably be happy with how far we've come, and somewhat ashamed. They would be proud of our military and technology, but they would be shocked at how high our dept is. Our dept might be high, but America is still the best country in the world. In general, our fore fathers would be happy with how far we've come. For example, America has the best and largest military in the world. My favorite part about living in America, is that we can believe in what we want to believe. Christianity is illegal in about fifty-one countries, but not America. Also, about ninety-nine percent of Americans can read and write. We have the highest literacy rate in the world. Not only has America advanced in size and citizens rights, we have advanced in technology. America has improved drastically in technology over the past few hundred years. I'm pretty sure that if George Washington walked into Best buy, he would think he was on a different planet. I mean, Abraham Lincoln would have no clue that he is supposed to touch the screen of an iPad. The fact that space ships allowed us to walk on the moon would blow their minds. America is wonderful in numerous ways, but there are some things that our fore fathers would frown upon. The fact that Americas dept is almost at the fifteen trillion nine hundred billion mark and is still growing, is pretty bad. Also, one out of eight people in the U.S. uses food stamps. About forty million people depends on the federal government for food every day. America has its ups and downs, but if Americas founding fore fathers were alive today, I think they would be amazed at how far we have come. Despite a few things that might be a downer on Americas reputation, America is a wonderful country. I can't imagine growing up anywhere else. If it weren't for Americas founding fore fathers, I might be speaking German right

The American people having derived their origin from many other nations, and the Declaration of National Independence being entirely based on the great principle of human equality, these facts demonstrates at once our disconnected position as regards any other nation; that we have, in reality, but little connection with the past history of any of them, and still less with all antiquity, its glories, or its crimes. On the contrary or national birth was the beginning of a new history, the formation and progress of an untried political system, which separates us from the past and connects us with the future only; And so far as Regard the entire development of the natural rights of man, in moral, political, and national life, we may confidently assume that our country is destined to be the great nation of futurity.…

America is one of the most developed countries in the world and a huge reason is because of the United States government. The agreement under which the government had been operating since 1781 was the Articles of Confederation, but it was replaced by the Constitution in 1789. This change was required due to the need for a stronger Federal Government. It is astonishing that the Constitution, which was created by a group of brilliant leaders still prevails to this day and serves the purpose of running the government. These men created a government from scratch, but many people were not convinced as to how long this new government would last. However, over the years it has been proven that the Constitution has been able to adapt and provide the…

There have been many events in the course of history that had changed and shaped America to make it what it is today. The Revolutionary War freed us from Great Britain, with World War II there came the creation of the atomic bomb, and the Great Depression made banking regulations more strict. Point in being is that there have been many events that shaped the U.S.. I believe that one of the most significant events in U.S. History is 9/11, which largely influenced our society because it caused us to go to war with Afghanistan for 11 years, huge economy impacts, and the U.S. no longer feels invulnerable because of it.…

America today is one of the best countries in the world because there are many opportunities for everyone and fair laws for people; however, we would not be privileged and live as we do today if it were not for the colonial past this country holds. Before America was discovered, many people didn’t even know it existed. American as we know as one of the most powerful nation in the world today. But that didn’t come overnight, I am going to talk about their expansion from 1607-1819. This development began with the First Settlement at Jamestown, then migrated to the Appalachian Mountains, and finally The Great Migration to the Mississippi territory. The liberties and freedoms that America is founded on have enabled people to develop some of the world’s most technological advances. The capitalistic system has created the opportunity for great personal wealth, and has given millions of people opportunities that otherwise would not have been afforded to them without living in this country. As a civilized society based on the foundation of those morals and ethics, it is also a country founded on laws that ensure protection and civil order. The United States of America is a…

Americans believe they live in a beautiful country. There are many advantages to living in America, such as having a secure government, a controlled military, a judicial system that works, breathtaking landscapes, cleanliness, and the many freedoms that are granted to citizens in the U.S. Constitution. America became a rising power early in its life, allowing for these benefits. Although the United States of America is one of the great world powers, and perhaps the most supreme, its economic practices are driven toward the idea of spending and consumerism and the population’s values have become entirely reconstituted since its founding.…

Today, America is the richest country in the world and it is responsible for most of the economic prosperity in our world today. If America did not exist the world trade network would be very fragile and susceptible to disfiguration. In a world where Britain was the superpower, economic growth would be very hard to come up with. The reason there was an American Revolution was due to the economic restrictions that Britain had enforced on Americans. America has given and provided many opportunities for many other nations around the world to experience economic success.…

In my opinion America is the greatest country on earth. One of the best things about America is our freedom. Our freedom is something to truly be proud of! In many other countries you have to filter what you say, but not in great ole America you are legally able to say whatever you want. In some Asian countries young children and lower class adults have to work in factories for very low pay, just because there is no other options. In America this is not the case, here we could work where ever we desire, with the right education of course. Religion, religion is a big one. In many counties what, or whom you worship is controlled by the government.…
