Farewell speech

Good evening \
It seems like just the other day when we were all having fun with our dearest friend Patrick, as they will move on to Manila to get a job.
We have waited for this moment all our lives, the moment when we leave our childhood behind and step into the world to forge our own paths in life. We have counted down the years, the months, the hours, minutes and seconds, and finally, that moment has arrived. I find myself not a little sad, for I will be leaving behind people that shaped my life and a place that is as much a part of my identity as the name I bear.

I will miss the times

When I first came to know of Mr. /Mrs. /Ms. X’s departure, the very first feeling was a sense of loss. Ours is such a close knit organization that any departure feels like the going away of a family member. It is really hard to say goodbye, but the circumstances are such that we have no other choice left.
We have really passed some happy times together, life at workplace is full of challenges and we have had our share too. All in all it has been quite a satisfying and exhilarating journey which we will trade for nothing. There are going to be ongoing journeys in the future too, but sad to say, Mr. /Mrs. /Ms. X won’t be accompanying us and will travel a separate road from now on.
Well we wish the best of luck to Mr. /Mrs. /Ms. X, and hope that the new road will also be as full of accomplishments as this one has been. Even if we will be separated by both distance and time nothing will dim the memory of this time we have spent working together. Have a Bon Voyage; this is all we have left to say. May God bless you and be with you, now and forever.

Good evening Ladies and Gentlemen,

It seems like just the other day when we were all talking about [insert the name of the person you are saying farewell to]'s farewell as they move on to [insert a few specific details here].

I remember thinking that it would be hard to say goodbye ... and I was right - it is hard.

Yet I consider myself fortunate to have met such a special person ... a person that we care so much about ... that it makes saying goodbye to him / her hard!

As we say goodbye, we remind ourselves that farewells are not forever, nor are they the end. They are simply words to say that we will miss you dearly and that we will remember you fondly.

Although we may be separated by time and distance in the interim, nothing will diminish the important role that you have and always will play in our lives.

We wish you happy adventures, fantastic new friendships, amazing experiences and the journey of a lifetime

I will miss the delightful smells from the chemistry lab that waft their way through the ground floor. Most of all, I will miss the very heart of my experience as a student; my friends and my teachers. Thank you teachers, for all that you have taught me - lessons that extended well beyond the four walls of a classroom. Thank you, all my classmates, for two wonderful years - for all the fun, the hysterical laughter and the valuable lessons we learned. Although we may be separated by time and distance in the interim, nothing will diminish the important role that you have and always will play in our lives.

And so it is ... and always will be with you as we carry you always close to our hearts. May the road rise up to meet you, May the wind be ever at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face and the rain fall softly on your fields. And until we meet again, may God hold you in the hollow of his hand
