Effective Persuasion Week Six Assignment The author did a magnificent job to persuade my thinking toward health care system in the United States that health care should be considered as a fundamental right to all U.S. citizens. The author’s essay was easy to follow, well constructed, and straight-forward to his topic sentence. Writer had a strong introduction, supportive points, and a conclusion. The author provided enough facts to support his /her argument regarding health insurance should be accepted as basic right for all the U.S. citizens just like education. Health care converges are very expensive that a normal person cannot effort. I like the fact he presented in his/ her writing that even citizens with health insurance will still end up paying out of their pocket. Insurance companies more concerns about their profits than providing health coverage. There is always a waiting list or have to wait in line to see a doctor even if you are covered by insurance. The entire U.S citizens have to stand up and fight for their rights. I also realized that the author did not use any I statements, which means the author is not bias. That is true that having health care system to the U.S. citizens will save many lives and courage the health of all Americans. “As we explore persuasion, we can divide the persuasive communication into three parts: the communicator, the message, and the audience. First, we will deal with what characteristics of persuaders make people more likely to be persuaded. Next, we will think about characteristics of the message that lead people to change. Finally, we will explore what characteristics of the audience can lead them to be persuaded.” (Feenstra, 2011, p. 88) For your assignment this week, provide an in-depth analysis of the three parts of persuasion. If your thinking “I wish I knew of a way to help” well there is a way. With the simple donation of blood, platelets or plasma, you could save the life of a loved one or a complete stranger.…

It makes me angry that this country could be so wealthy and yet so poor. I am a disabled U.S. Army Veteran and I am one of those Americans without health insurance because of previous existing medical conditions. How sick is that? I feel it is unfair to put a price on a human being. Too many Americans die each year simply because they do not have health insurance. And the reasons for not having health insurance are not the person’s fault but that of the insurance companies who deny claims and insurance policies based on ridiculous reasons. Denying someone health coverage is unethical. It is a crisis we must do something about. I feel very strongly about universal health coverage and feel this paper would be an excellent way to express my thoughts and…

The issue of health care is a widely debated issue in the United States today. The United States spends more on health care than any other country in the world, but there are 48.6 million people that do not have health insurance. The United States also has one of the lowest life expectancies in the industrialized world, and 45,000 people die every year due to a lack of health care. The United States Congress passed the Affordable Care Act in 2010 to try to correct some of these problems. Unfortunately, conservatives and Liberals cannot agree on the subject of health care (Kleinstuber). The health care system should be changed so that universal health care is enacted in the United States. With universal health care, citizens of the United States will become healthier, therefore, people have better opportunity to obtain human capital. Also, the benefits outweigh the detriments in the case for universal health care with some small changes with how it works. The implementation of universal health care would benefit the United States’ economy and society’s welfare.…

When given a writing assignment with no specified thesis, where I can write about absolutely anything that interests me, I become stressed and have the hardest time choosing a topic. That is exactly what happened just the other day when I was told by my professor to “write what I know.” Now most people probably think that selecting a subject is a fairly simple task when given no restrictions; however, I think that it is one of the most difficult things to do when writing a paper.…

The average teen is always looking for away to escape conformity. Two pieces of work that express a common theme of rebellion and conformity are, The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger and the movie Conspiracy Theory starting Mel Gibson and Julia Roberts. Both pieces express this common theme of rebellious and conformity in a society that simply won’t allow it.…
