I added a few sound effects to my promo to enhance it further. One effect I added was a firework explosion. I added this to the start of my promo and it made it more that little bit more thrilling. Secondly, I added an audience clapping sound effect. This made my promo more atmospheric, like the listeners are already at the festival. I thought this was a very effective sound effect, I added it twice.…

“You’ve got to listen to the heavens, you got to try to understand. The greatness of their movement is just as small as it is grand.” Most young adults of my generation do not know who The Grateful Dead are, but they unknowingly dawn the apparels and slang created in the counterculture of the bands following the Deadheads. The band, The Grateful Dead, became popular in the 60s and carried out wide spread recognition and fame into the 80s. Their calming, peace-promoting music became popular because it ‘transported’ people, it took them away from whatever they were going through in their life and set them on a new path. Fans of the band described the feeling of being at a Grateful Dead concert as being high even without drugs. This is what sparked many fans to follow the band around on tour, stopping at every venue to enjoy the experience of a Grateful Dead show. However, the influence of the dead spread way beyond the walls of the concert. The music of the Grateful Dead inspired a completely new counterculture, which stretched beyond the concerts and the albums, and affected people outside of the band’s fan base.…

"If you came here to see spandex and big hair, this ain't your band", Metallica's "war cry" throughout the early eighties. While the rest of the hard rock bands wanted to get rich and a lot of women, Metallica, as in the words of former lead guitarist Dave Mustaine, "Our hole existence pretty much was guitar, dominating the world and getting liquored up".…

Soon after, in March of 2001, the band released their much-anticipated 13th studio album Just Push Play. Just Push Play features the same pop production that Aerosmith had been using in recent albums, though this time there was more of a vintage-era edge to most of the tracks. The album's first single, "Jaded", became a major top-10 hit in the U.S. As a result, Just Push Play went platinum. They were inducted to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame soon after their album was released, in late March of 2001. In 2003, Aerosmith co-headlined with KISS on the Rocksimus Maximus Tour preparing for their release of their first blues album. Honkin' on Bobo was released in 2004. Honkin' on Bobo continued to be a success for the group across the US and Europe. The album was a return to roots for the band, including recording the album in live sessions and laying down their blues-rock grit. In 2005, Aerosmith started their Rockin' the Joint Tour. The tour was put on in support of their live album titled Rockin' the Joint which was released in the fall of 2005. The shows on the first part of the tour were opened by Lenny Kravitz. On February 1, 2006 I was fortunate that I was able to attend their concert here in Arizona at Glendale Arena. I was actually really impressed with Lenny Kravitz. I wasn't too big of a fan of his music, but he put on a great show. Aerosmith's show was incredible, it was right before Steven Tyler took a break from the tour due to throat issues. My fiancé is a huge fan also, so I purchased the tickets right when they were on sale for one of her X-Mas presents since they were not cheap. We are actually planning on going to their next concert here at the Cricket Pavilion on November 13, 2006. This will be their Route of All Evil tour where Motley Crue will be opening up for them. It's going to…

Thankfully, this intense mixture of fast-paced and drawn out frequencies overlaid with animated cries was recovered for all of our listening pleasures. Beginning with lapping waves that bring vivid imagery to mind, and heavily featuring the video game synths that identify King’s music, ‘Bigger Fish Frying’ solidified the Longwalkshortdock anthems that would string together the intense audio necessary to create the live experience that fans crave, and have begun to recognize as an event not to be…
