1. Who or what influenced you to apply to Syracuse University?
Apart from being a renowned institution that can further my higher education, I am strongly fond of Syracuse University. I heard about the school through a friend that currently attends Syracuse University and caught my attention greatly. After doing some further research, I learned that the school not only has a strong business program but also offers a comprehensive liberal arts education.
2. Who is the person you dream of becoming and how do you believe Syracuse University can help you achieve this?
Some may call him the wealthiest man at sometimes, or even a respected philanthropist; I dream of becoming Bill Gates. I respect his position as the Co-founder of Microsoft, and most importantly his charitable character. I would like to gain more knowledge in the field of business and I couldn’t think of a better place to do it than Syracuse’s business program.
3. If you have had work experience, what skills and/or knowledge did you gain?
As an international student attending boarding school, I haven’t had the opportunity to have a real “work experience”. I have had the chance to work in my community. Going to boarding school has made me more independent and has pushed me to go out of my comfort zone.
4. Our mission of Scholarship in Action, education for the world in the world, extends beyond the classroom to include engagement opportunities with our campus community, the City of Syracuse, and locations across the globe. Based on your interests, tell us what real-world experiences you might pursue during your education at Syracuse as part of this mission.
In my past I have participated in many community service events as I wish to do the same at Syracuse University. Also from the strong business program offered at Syracuse I wish to take part in I wish to study aboard and learn the different lifestyles and cultures of other countries.
