A brief introduction:
Hurricane Katrina is a story that disaster a whole country and it was a popular story that all the world know about it and tried to help them from each side. Background:
Mississippi power is an electrical company in the southeastern mississippi this company has about 456 stockholders from all over the US . All the stock held in southeastern company and its owned by 195,261 stockholders. Mississippi power has 1,253 employees. Mississippi power serves most of the cities in the US directly in retail except the southeastern mississippi which is the company location , this company serve six electrical cooperatives (Coast EPA, Singing River EPA, Southern Pine EPA, Dixie EPA, Pearl River EPA and East Mississippi EPA) and there is one municipality (city of collins) that the company provide their whole electrical power . Mississippi power found in December 31, 1924, its a strong organization with a strong culture-performance all the employees do what it need to be done in normal days or in disaster they are highly trend to work efficiency and effectively that what help this company to be this success and to deal with all kind of digester and come back with stronger performance. If the organization has a strong culture they can handle any big problem by making the good decision and encourage the employees to work as if the company their own and that can be achieved by making a good work environment , and communication with employees listen to their suggestion and complain in order to get to know them more and then you can make up your mind if you want this kind of employees if that what your looking for if that good enough for your company so as a owner or manger you have to be really careful choosing your worker and employees because they represent the company they are the first fact in fail or success the company and they react with costumer so they should have a good and hight quality and experience in that in order to get what your looking for . The massive destruction the citizens faced and how companies where trying to work their best to recover this loss. Hurricane Katrina was the best known destructive natural disaster which causes flooding, home demolition, wind and even death. This hurricane causes family break downs, loss of household and many more. Due to all this causes and destructions, the country needs to restore many things such as electric power, reconstructions of homes and companies and many more. This hurricane initiated approximately 100 percent of the company’s customers which therefore this withdraws the country’s services and made them less productive. However, this natural disaster have made the government and the employees more productive and motivated to regain all the loss that occurred and this is by risking their lives under dangerous circumstances.
