“Canada is the world’s second largest country”. Then there is Russia Which is the world’s Largest country. In this essay I will be comparing the geography, sports and food of Canada and Russia.
I will start off with the geography of these two countries “Canada consists of the entire North America continent North of the United States according to: Junior Worldmark Encyclopedia of the Nations. Russia however spreads across northeastern Europe and Asia. Russia is also 6,601,631 square miles. However Canada is almost half that size with 3,855,081 square miles according to The geography ties into the cultures of these two countries because in Canada and Russia especially Canada there are many unpopulated areas because of how cold it is further north in Canada and Russia.
Now I will compare the country’s favorite sports. According to junior Worldmark Encyclopedia of World Cultures hockey is Canada’s favorite sport and soccer is Russia’s favorite sport. These two sports are kind of similar but they still have their differences. Hockey is played on the ice with skates and soccer is played on grass with cleats.
