Being Away from Home

Nowadays, studying aboard is becoming an upward trend which has some advantages and disadvantages. First, studying abroad is more challenging than people imagine. Foreign teachers would not force students to do much homework. However, exams are not easy that means students have to force themselves to do homework. Although school’s life is hard, most foreign schools are easier to apply. International students can get high-level education. They can graduate after they make an effort on working. In addition, international students usually encounter in many troubles in daily life. Being away form hometown, students cannot eat the food they want. Fast food is always the first choice. Nevertheless, few students enjoy trying the local food, and they think it is an interesting experience. If food is not a big challenge, loneliness must be the biggest one. They miss their friends and relatives, and their life is not exciting and interesting like other people think. But students grow up fast without parents. They become more mature and are able to deal with things independently. This is the most important reason they come to USA, UK and Canada for studying. Not only for learning knowledge, some of them would work and live foreign countries for a long period. For many Chinese students, finding a nice job in Canada is quicker than getting the same job in China. China has millions graduates every year, so the jobs are extremely precious. The situation makes going aboard for a job is a wise choice. On the other hand, applying a working visa is tougher than people thought. Applicants have to take IELTS (International English Language Testing System) and TOEFL (Testing of English a Foreign Language) first. Then, they should show visa officers their working statement, family information, personal statements and other documents.
