Animal Testing Speech
By the time I have finished this sentence 120 animals will have died in search labs.
It is devastating to think of us as an ignorant race. On one hand, we love our pets unconditionally. However, when it comes to leaving our comfort zone by helping a soul in need that is not recognized as a member of our inner circle, we become selfish and unjust.
Would you consider yourself as a cruel and cold-hearted human being, when you absent-mindedly brush your teeth with Colgate? Wash your hair with L’Oreal products or even consume a mars bar? Perhaps not. As we do not regard our unawareness a crime.
The big question is why are so blinded by the lies? Why is the truth about animal testing and cruelty in laboratories shoved away under the carpet? The only answer I can think of is that if our government wanted to do something about it and promote the issue they would. Then again, animals can’t vote.
It’s not that animals cannot converse and communicate, it’s the fact that we refuse to listen. Behind the doors of these laboratories lies a shocking reality of brutal experimenting and trialling. Which statistically fails 9/10 times.
So what do these scientists do to make sure these deprived animals have the finest quality of life?

First, they make sure they are comfortable enough by having several of them in one small cage. Than they physically and mentally damage them in the most brutal way. Thus, when they finish are done using them, they will dispose of them in the rubbish bin.
I devoted a big part of my life to aid those animals who were fortunate enough to survive these malicious laboratories. It’s a horrible sight. They are petrified and become aggressive with every physical contact you make to calm them down. Most of them lose their essential animal senses as well as their vital needs.
Some may dispute that those animals secure our future. However, humans and animals are completely different from each other. Statistics show that only 2% of diseases found in

Comparing animals and humans, we do have lots alike. Both often contract the same illnesses and diseases, and they suffer from the same health conditions as humans, some examples being: cancer, diabetes, heart disease and high blood pressure. Although animals and humans are alike, that doesn’t mean we react to all illness the same. The Food and Drug Administration reports that 92 out of every 100 drugs that pass animal tests fail in…

How would you feel if you were captured in a laboratory and forced to smell toxic fumes until death? Or immobilized in a restraining device for hours? Or have your skin burned off and spinal cord crushed? This is the reality for more than 100 million animals worldwide. In Canada, over 3.33 million animals are used in experiments and over 125 000 are subjected to severe pain. The animals are left for days to wait in fear of the next terrifying and traumatic experiment that will be performed on them. Major effects of stress and boredom trigger neurotic behaviors in the animals these include spinning in circles, rocking back and forth, pulling out their own hair and biting their own skin. Days go by, and after being locked in their tiny cages filled with fear, their journey usually ends with death. Animals are said to be used for advances and safety checks in products, but are the tests truly…

Cosmetics, scientific research, cleaning products, drug tests, and other research facilities have used animals as a way to evaluate their products or to discover possible scientific breakthroughs. Statistics show that more than 100 million animals die in the U.S. every year for experiments done by companies, the government, scientific facilities, or other institutions. Yet, the number is highly inaccurate since mice, rats, birds, and cold blooded animals are not believed to be animals by the Animal Welfare Act. The Animal Welfare Act is one of the only actions that are done to ensure that animals are protected from horrible lab conditions and painful experiments, yet they are barely reinforced. The previously mentioned animals make up more…

`”God loved the birds and invented trees. Man loved the birds and invented cages” (Deval, Jacques). There are many things wrong about animal research, and I think that a lot of it is wrong. The animals endure awful procedures and most of the time they are put back in their cage injured without any pain killers. Imagine being restrained and having no control over any aspect of your life. Most of these animals live in misery, but luckily there are many animal right organizations that believe that no animal should suffer and die when there are other effective alternative methods that do not involve hurting lives. For example, the center for alternatives to animal testing CAAT or PETA are groups concerned with protecting animals from being abused. CAAT is the leading alternative center in the United States, recognized internationally for its efforts to promote the development of alternative methods in research and product safety testing…

U.S. law allow animals to be burned, shocked, poisoned, isolated, starved, drowned, addicted to drugs, and brain-damaged. No experiment, no matter how painful or trivial, is prohibited – and pain-killers are not required. Even when alternatives to the use of animals are available, the law does not require that they be used—and often they aren’t.”…

Each year in the United States, an estimated seventy million animals are hurt and killed in the name of science by private institutions, household products and cosmetics companies, government agencies, educational institutions, and scientific centers. Animal testing is wrong and downright mean. Innocent animals should not be treated badly and caused pain for the sake of a human 's safety. Many people think animal testing is good while others think it is wrong. I think it is completely and absolutely wrong. Some people argue that humans are not necessarily superior to animals, so why should animals be experimented on and made to suffer to protect human beings? Do you know what animal testing is, what condition the animals live in, and what some alternatives to testing animals are?…
