Every year millions of animals are subjected to horrible unethical experimentations in order to advance medical science. Dogs, cats, monkeys, mice, and other animals are kept in dark rooms in cages while being exposed to various toxic and poisonous substances daily in order to test how the substance may react in humans. These poor creatures suffer from inhumane treatments and are denied any form of happiness, and these experiments should cease and alternatives should be used instead. Animal testing is a cruel and ineffective medical practice that produces unreliable results and those laboratories should use safer alternatives that will provide more accurate results.

Animal testing, is also known as animal experiments in the act of using non-human animals in research, to develop projects or scientific experiments. Statistics show that each year, there are millions of animals such as cats, dogs, mice, rats, ferret, hamsters and monkeys that experience mental and physical torture due to scientific research. Although most people agree that animal testing is horrible and cruel, there are few who this is it necessary to find new medicines. During the experiments, the animals are forced to inhale or sallow large amounts of test substances. Which are often found to be poisonous and toxic. The largest concern, is that animals are being used in experiments and not humans. Meaning that the results might or might not be useful for all the humans. Million of animals are suffering from poor conditions of living, and then to…

Over the years, animal testing has helped scientists create new medicines and vaccines. However, it has been proven that “92 out of every 100 drugs that pass animal tests fail in humans” (PETA). Animal testing is not okay and should be stopped. Animals deserve rights, the tests are usually very harmful to the animal, and animals are dying and being abused for unnecessary reasons.…

Do you want to see animals abused and killed sometimes for nothing? Animal testing is flawed and can produce very unreliable results. Around 26 million animals are used every year for scientific and commercial testing. These animals are used to determine the toxicity and effectiveness of medications before they test it on humans. Therefore animal testing should be banned.…

An estimated 26 million animals are used every year in the United States fir various types of testing. These animals are used for scientific and commercial testing to develop medical treatments, determine toxicity of medications and chemicals, check the safety of products destined for human use and other biomedical or healthcare purposes. This testing on animals is cruel, inhumane and should be banned. It should be banned because the animals are held and live in inhumane conditions, it is harmful and at times lethal to the animals and there are other research method available that do not require animal testing.…

Right now, millions of mice, rats, rabbits, cats, dogs, and other animals are locked inside cold, barren cages in laboratories across the country. “For days they languish in pain, ache with loneliness and long to roam free and use their minds” (PETA). These animals come from a wide variety of places such as city pounds, zoos, commercial breeders, and even circuses. Did you know that around the world these animals are being used to test products ranging from shampoo to new cancer drugs? In fact almost every medical treatment that you use has been tested on animals. For instance, animals were used to develop anesthetics (AnimalPort). All they can do is sit and wait in fear of the next terrifying and painful procedure that will be performed on them. “The stress, sterility and boredom causes some animals to develop neurotic behaviors such incessantly spinning in circles, rocking back and forth and even pulling out their own hair and biting their own skin” (PETA). Believe it or not animal testing is not required by law, animal testing is only done to protect companies from consumer lawsuits (Zoomshare). Animal testing…

Rammy Mekhilef Mr. Drake H Lang and Comp April 20th, 2009 Animal Testing for Research ' Pro side The death of one dog vs. saving the life of many diabetic humans. Which would you pick? Diabetes caused many deaths before insulin was discovered from the pancreas of a dog. After insulin was discovered, it could be injected into the bloodstream to keep the insulin level high. Along with this, much of our medicinal discoveries are experimented on different types of animals. Many people support the banning of experimentation of animals but what they are really supporting is the hindering of scientific advancement. We would not be where we are today without futuristic discoveries without making few sacrifices. One of these sacrifices is the lives of animals. As long as the animal has the capabilities of providing new information, and is not an endangered species, it should have approved usage in science laboratories and departments. Scientific testing on animals should be legal because it provides valuable information, it is safer, and it develops medicinal discoveries. A lot of valuable information comes from testing medicine and other sciences on animals. “Testing drugs in animals before doing so in humans helps researchers find potential toxic side effects, as well as understand the metabolism of drug compounds and consequent effects seen throughout the body” (Cook). Scientists rather would have toxic side effects appear on animals rather than the drug appearing on the market with people unaware that the drug is actually harmful. Also, animal testing is surprisingly one of the most advanced types of research we have today. Other methods are not advanced enough because researchers do their best to keep the kill count low, while also being beneficial to science. Only 6% of animals who are used for research actually experience pain (Animal Testing Facts: Home). Science research should be tested on animals because it is much better than being tested on humans and…

The first reason why we shouldn’t have animal testing is because animals are getting hurt or abused. “Over 100 million animals are burned, crippled, poisoned, and abused in US labs every year.” The chemicals that the people are using are burning or other worse things to them. The chemicals that they use on the animals could hurt or kill them. Over half of side effects cannot be detected in…

As medical science advances the need for more extensive testing of new medicines and pharmaceuticals. These drugs need to go through years of testing to see for possible long term affects. Instead of treatment on humans, scientists use a wide variety of animals to simulate the effects. These animals physiological similarities to humans would be their ultimate downfall. Yearly thousands of animals wake up each day, robbed of the liberties and freedom every organism has a right to. Although animals lack the self awareness of humans, putting them through such preventable suffering through inhumane experimentation is unjust and should be stopped.…

Imagine being confined to a cold cage, no bigger than you, without family, or friends, watching, as one by one, your compatriots leaving, but never come back, waiting silently for your turn. Good morning audience of the Federal Youth Parliament, this is what many animals endure before their final moments, tortured, hurt, and isolated. Animal experimenting is a national system of sadistic torture, vivisection, and genocide, which has been carried out for generations under the disguise of “medical research” and definitely must be stopped. The three main reasons for banning this grotesque science are: present experimentation is currently not species specific therefore results are inaccurate, killing for beauty is not worth it, and animals are more useful alive.…

    Benefits Of Animal Testing

In animal testing, countless animals are experimented on and then killed after their use is up. Some are injured and will still live the remainder of their life in captivity. The doctors will not do anything to help the animals that are in pain that happen to be the reason because of them. It is the aspect of animals testing that many view as a major negative against the practice, as it seems that the animal died in vain because no direct benefit to humans occurred. Even though animals and humans have many things in common like how we both have the same organ system, there are also many things that are different between animals and humans. Many animals cannot handle or take the same medication as humans, most the surgeries that are operated on animals are just too strong for an animal to take so they end up dying or sick for the rest of their lives. (Animal Testing…

Animals should NOT be used for testing in labs. There are many reasons why this dilemma should stop. They have different bodies than humans so the tests may react different on them than on humans and that could lead to danger to people. I think if scientists have to lab test on something living then they should pick something overpopulated, but that still is not okay, therefore something needs to be figured out. Or instead of using helpless animals, they should use all natural products and take human volunteers willing to get tested on. Why risk poor helpless little animal’s lives? Why torture them? It is proven that animals are not the best test subjects to use.…

Last year, over 167 million animals died due to animal research. At this rate, the number of animals that will die this year will be well over 200 million. Animals used in these testing facilities are treated in inhumane and disgusting ways. Dogs are forced to eat pesticides, monkeys have their skulls cracked, mice grow tumors larger than their own bodies, bunnies are blinded, the list of cruelties goes on and on. After having these excruciating and terrifying experiments performed on them, they are usually dumped back into a cramped…

    Animal Testing Flaws

Animal testing has always been a dispute between people; some people think it’s morally wrong and some people think it helps with medical and scientific breakthroughs. Drugs that people use or cosmetics that are used could have been tested through animals before being stocked on shelves. About 800 animals are tested on before a drug is passed to clinical trials (“Is animal”). Many animals get tested on, but many like mice, rabbits, hamsters, monkeys, dogs, cats, pigs, and some other animals get tested on. Animals can be used to find new advances in medical treatment and check safety for products, but these animals that get tested on can go through pain and death. Animal testing is wrong and should be stopped because…

According to a natural organic food store, “Animals endure chemicals being dripped into their eyes, injected into their bodies, forced up their nostrils or forced down their throats. They are addicted to drugs, forced to inhale/ingest toxic substances, subjected to maternal deprivation, deafened, blinded, burned, stapled, and infected with disease viruses”. An animal research lab in the UK argues though exclaiming that, “Animal research has played a vital part in nearly every medical breakthrough over the last decade”. It all comes down to whether a human life is more valuable than an…
