Analysis Of Millennials
Millennials, the cohort born after 1982 until 2000 (Howe & Strauss, 2000) nowadays are eager to have authentic and “knowledgeable” travels which enable them to experience the soul of the designated destinations being visible, namely to experience the local conditions and customs to let them reveal themselves and achieve self-actualization. This cohort are more tech-savvy and adventurous to research on authentic travels and willing to jump out their comfort zones (Formica, 2015; Rita, Brochado, & Dimova, 2018). Nonetheless, not only destinations can create guests senses of authentic travels experience, but also a hotel does, Hotel Shilla Hanok will be the typical illustration.

According to Bernardi (2018), Kozaza, the online platform to offer the accommodation to tourists who want to have the real Korean tradition. It aims at letting guests experience the authentic cultural experience by offering them Hanok, the traditional Korean houses, stay experience. Pottery classes, tea ceremonies and courses on traditional musical instruments are also offered for guests’ stay enrichment.

As millennials will be the group with the highest spending power in the future, who are more tech-savvy, well-educated and adventurous, their spending patterns, in terms of time and money, are worthwhile to be the study group to examine their preferences towards travel experience and accommodation style.
Given that service delivered by frontline staff is so impressive, in guests’ perspectives, that it affects the holistic stay experience of the guests. The way the frontline staff impress guests can be as subtle as how their image, professional, trendy or classic, look like. Hotel uniform is one of the critical elements that helps staff construct a compatible image with how the hotel ambiance as a whole in a balanced and matching
