1. Ethically and legally the establishment should have ensured the pool included the special features to prevent seniors from having accidents. Their monthly rents were increased with the intent they would have safely have access to the pool. 2. The director’s behavior was inappropriate and extremely unethical. Seems as though he did not display a care for the elderly clients at the establishment. 3. Ethical Role- directors should care about what they do and the people in which they serve. If a director does not care about what they do or the people they serve they are not going to perform to the set standards and expectations, such as in this case study. 4. The director’s message was not congruent with the organizations stated mission. The organizations mission is to serve and protect the seniors, by providing rehabilitation by focusing on their emotional and physical care. The seniors have developed fears due to falls in the pool. This goes against the organization’s statement. 5. Due to the director’s actions and attitude towards the safety and concern of the seniors he could very well destroy this organization. It can take one preventable accident to occur and ruin the organization and financial being.
