15 January, 2013 Put a Stop to Abortions
In the article “Voters Speak on Abortion Rights” written by The New York Times, it talks about voting on whether or not abortion should be legal in states. The article talks about how women can be able to get rid of babies if they are going to have birth defects after birth and if they aren’t ready to take on a parent responsibility then they can get rid of the fetus. I personally believe that abortions should not be allowed, unless it is a situation of rape. If it is a situation of that matter, then the female should be given the option of abortion, so they are not having the baby that they completely are not going to be attached too. Women over the world are excited to become parents, and some are not ready just yet. Now a days girls starting at the age of 15 or 16 are getting pregnant, and half of them are not ready to be adults and take care of kids when they are just kids themselves. They are given the decision to have the baby or have an abortion. More than 50 million babies have been killed by abortion since 1973. In total, there is an average of one million abortions performed in the United States every single year. I personally do not agree with the decision of women being able to have abortions. I think that they are killing another human being, and you could be helping other women around the world who cannot have kids. Women of all ages would love to have a kid. It is a woman’s dream to have that little special someone to read stories too and tuck into bed. When girls make the decision to take a babies life away, I feel they are taking the opportunity from someone else being a parent. There are parents out somewhere in the world that want to be parents but they are not physically able too. They are faced with diseases such as cancer, or they just cannot have any kids because their bodies will not withstand it. These women would do anything to be

Abortion is an on-going debate throughout the United States. Americans divide 50% as pro-choice and 44% on pro-life. (Saad, 2015) Majority of women side with pro-choice, and being a woman myself, I stand with pro-choice. I believe that it’s an individual’s right to decide what they’re doing to their bodies, and no one else should be allowed to deny them of said right. There are many different reasons as to why someone would get an abortion. Whether it be from results of rape, birth control failure, teen pregnancy, or whatever the case may be, every abortion is thought out and no option is an easy option.…

Teenagers who face unexpected motherhood are likely to drop out of school and rely on public health services (or not receive those health services at all). Bringing a child into a family that is not adequately prepared to support it would be a crime unto the child itself. Adoption is not always an option, either, and even if it were, there are not enough willing couples in our country who could afford to adopt and support the potential children who have otherwise been aborted.…

According to statistics provided by Guttmacher institute, “there were approximately 1.05 million abortions in the United States in 2012 alone” (Abortion Counters 4). To many, that might be just a number and it does not necessarily mean anything, but lets just take some time to think about how tremendously that number actually is. The image of 1.05 million lifeless, innocent premature babies is horrific, and many do not realize how sick and wrong it is. That number is more than just a statistic but it is the amount of lives that were ended way to early. As someone who stands for pro-life, aborting a baby is not something that should be an option so easily for women. Women nor anybody else should have the authority to end a child’s life prematurely.…

They fear that they won’t be solvent and that they will not have money to give their children what they need. Yet, they are also wrong. The parents who can’t provide could seek a family member who could provide, food banks, family friends, local churches that could help their cause. There are kind people in this world who would love to help out a person with a baby who was in desperate need of help. Parents who say they are too young should have thought of their consequences before they made the choice. These young parents could have the grandparents, aunts, uncles, or family friends take care of the child. Or, if no one wants the child, they could put it up for adoption. Every one in three teenage girls have a baby before the age of twenty. They have their babies and figure out a way to care for them (Kost). These woman who choose to abort their babies are dogmatic to the ideas of not having an abortion. There are so many alternative choices instead of choosing to abort a…

Every woman should have the opportunity to determine if they would want to keep their child or abort it. Growing up in today’s society, I find myself in an environment where kids are having kids, parents who aren’t capable to raise a child are having kids, and victims of sexual assault are having kids. And in most cases, the child ends up living a life that isn’t too well. This leads to children being neglected, abused, homeless, hungry and more importantly unloved. Imagine a woman not being allowed to have an abortion. Abortions eliminate the risks of all of those tragedies happening. The problem shouldn’t be killing an egg that isn’t fully yet involved into a baby. The problem should be having children but later neglecting or mistreating them to the point where they can’t be a happy child. Sometimes you hear parents saying, “I wish I would have waited.” or even worse “I don’t think I can do this.” For a lot of pregnancies, they aren’t planned. If we don’t allow for abortions to continue to be legal that simply means we are allowing for unfit parents to have kids and by doing this we are failing our children. I was taught to eliminate a problem before it escalates or before it becomes too late. We often hear stories about parents harming their children because the child might have cried too much or whined too much. Why should the child have to suffer? Why should a child be harmed in the first place? We can’t justify abortions not being legal. I feel that a human is born. Until then, you should be allowed to make the decision on whether or not you want to abort your child until it is too late. It’s a women’s right. A father can run away from his child but the mother will be there forever. The grandma might not care or the uncle might not be there but the mother will always be around. When we actually think about it, abortion isn’t as bad as we make it seem. It’s simply an alternative for a lifestyle that a person is trying to…

Abortion is never an easy decision, in fact its one of America's most controversial issues in today's reality, but women have none the less been making that choice for thousands of years. Studies show that about 43% of American women will have one or more abortions during their lifetime, and women's centers and hospitals perform more than a million abortions on an annual basis. Women have many reasons for not wanting to be pregnant including age, marital status, economic status, and the circumstances of their pregnancy, and thus seek out an abortion. Although many citizens view abortion as an immoral act of brutality and strongly contest its usage, others believe the choice belongs solely to the mother and the mother alone.…

How would it be like if you weren’t allowed to choose what happens to your future? Some women do not get the luxury of choosing for themselves due to some laws set and they do not get the option whatsoever. That should be different as women are the ones who carry the babies, not the ones who are voting against it. Even though the baby never had the chance to live life, women should have the right to choose what they want to do with their baby because it may be bad for the women herself to have to care of a baby, they may not be prepared for a baby, and we do not know their circumstances of the situation.…

It’s never fair for someone to suffer from another’s lack of responsibility for their own actions. Many circumstances can apply to such a statement, and abortion is not limited to that. Abortion is murder, it violates the civil rights of an unborn child, not only that, it is a violation of God’s plan for others. Some babies die by chance, although none should ever die by choice.…

When a baby is aborted it is still in the process to be a fetus. The baby is tissue in the uterus, which means that the avoid would not feel any pain. Taking away the right for women to have the option of abortion would lead to more deaths because women would seek illegal abortions. In countries outside of the US, the cause of woman's death is 13% from getting illegal abortions. Before abortions were legal in the US, 265 deaths occurred in the year of 1965 because of illegal abortions. Abortions are against religions, but in US God and state are separate so there should be no religion influencing people's stance on abortion. Abortion needs to stay legal to save women's lives mentally, physically, and…

Abortion is said to be “a woman’s choice.” Women do have the choice, the choice should be to do what is best for their child whether the pregnancy is planned or not. The resources should be made available for the mother to do that. There should be more funding for public services and health care for extremely low income families. Abortion is wrong and it harms the society that we live in.…

Abortion on demand should be legal for many reasons. In countries where abortion is absolutely not tolerated it is a fact that women continue to receive abortions, from unqualified back-street abortionists or the village massage abortionist. Both of these individuals risk putting the woman through painful and potentially fatal tortures just in an attempt to abort a child. Each year 84 000 women die worldwide from failed abortion attempts. Because of anti-abortion legislation women avoid going to the hospital, often until it is too late, to avoid prosecution from police. In the cases of rape and incest the very idea of being forced to have the child of the woman's abuser is repulsive. There are also cases when a woman's health is put in jeopardy by having a child at all, forcing such a woman to bring a child to term, would be no less than attempted murder. If a woman is forced to give birth to a child she does not want, if left in that woman's custody, the child could potentially face hatred and resentment from the mother for the rest of it's life. In countries all over the world, children are found dead and abandoned in places as degrading as garbage dumps. The only effective method of preventing unwanted births is abstinence, and this is just not a realistic objective. There is no 100 0.000000e+00ffective form of birth control, and even men and women using birth control have unwanted pregnancies. Some women for financial, occupational, social, and maturity reasons, see pregnancy as cessation of their lives. There are no accurate statistics on how many women attempt or succeed in committing suicide each year rather than live with their pregnancies. Women will continue to have abortions with or without government legislation, but with legislation, the conditions under which they have their abortions can be sanctioned and observed.…
