Abortion Should Be Legalized.
In today’s society, abortion is still very controversial. There are still many people that think it shouldn’t be legalized, as well as many out there think that it should be. Most would say this is a moral issue, or else wise a choice decision. Whether abortion is right or wrong, women have the only right to choose on what to do with their own body, not the government. There is plenty of information that many people support on legalizing abortion. The 9th Amendment December 15, 1791, gave the constitutional right to anyone to choose what to do with their own body.The government yet, still steps in and tell women what to do. If women don’t have the right to choose, women with severe health risks already, could suffer more or die. Pregnancy accidents can happen to a family and push them to being unstable financially. Our own children who are not prepared for a family of their own be forced to be dependent. As well as teenagers and rape victims, become a greater statistics. “The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.”
With this stated, this gives the women rights to abort a child until the end of the first trimester. The government made this law in the past, but yet does not support women in their own decision here in the present. Then there was Roe vs. Wade in 1973 that used the 9th Amendment, which was to protect the rights of women, especially in privacy. Roe’s case lead to the legalization of abortion and some states to restrict regulations. It raised questions on whether a fetus was murder in an abortion. Which it again is up to the mother whether she decides to keep the baby or not, the choice is in her hands .
In my opinion, abortion should be legalized in some cases. Though this is a very difficult issue to decide which side you are on, I think I agree with both sides,
