Leslie Rose R. Ebreo CAS-02-201A P.E.II - Prof. Joyce January 23, 2013

“SCUAA 2013: Keeping the Solidarity Flame Alive for 25 Years and Beyond” January 16, 2013, Wednesday morning we went to Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) to watch lawn tennis game. Unfortunately, the lawn tennis game is already done so we decided to watch another game. We heard that there is men’s basketball game in that time, were so happy because it’s time to take a picture for the reaction paper. The game started, Rizal Technological University (RTU) versus Philippine Normal University (PNU), RTU Blue Thunders have the higher score until the end of the game. The final score is 61-55, RTU won the game. In the women’s basketball game, RTU also won the game against PUP. The final score is 90-44. January 18, 2013, Friday, we went again to Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) to watch dance sport competition. In that time, I thought I cannot watch the dance sport anymore because I forgot my identification card (I.D). Thanks be to God that I’m with my classmate in high school that is current student of PUP so the lady guard gave me a chance to enter the gate. Here we go, when we went to the gym of PUP a lot of students of RTU are there with their full support also with the other schools. When it’s started, the competitors were all amazing. They are all dedicated to what they are doing. Their passion in dancing was so awesome. We felt how they move in every beat of the sound. And at the end, the RTU Blue Thunders announced as the over-all champion of SCUAA-NCR 2013. From 2005 to 2013, RTU Blue Thunders have their 9-Peat Championship.

Sam Walton was born to Thomas Gibson Walton and Nancy Lee, in Kingfisher, Oklahoma. There, he lived with his parents on their farm until 1923. Sam's father decided farming did not generate enough income on which to raise a family and decided to go back to a previous profession of farm mortgaging, working for his brother's Walton Mortgage Company, which served as an agent for Metropolitan Life Insurance[3][4] where he repossessed farms during the Great Depression.[5]…

Who is Abigail Williams? is she a liar, a witch or is she really just an honest soul trying to prove her innocence? Some people could relate to Abigail, but those people are probably the liars and cheats of this world. Abigail Williams is one of the characters that made the least number of changes in The Crucible. Abigail's lies never changed throughout The Crucible and she continued to be deceptive. She refused to tell what happened in the woods and she lied about seeing people with the devil. In the beginning Abigail is denying all the things Paris saw when he ventured into the woods and discovered the girls dancing in a circle naked around Tituba. Near the middle of The Crucible Abigail continues to lie about the situation and the people she blamed. Then in the end Abigail remained the same and vanished without a trace.…

PRO: "...No system of justice can produce results which are 100% certain all the time. Mistakes will be made in any system which relies upon human testimony for proof. We should be vigilant to uncover and avoid such mistakes. Our system of justice rightfully demands a higher standard for death penalty cases. However, the risk of making a mistake with the extraordinary due process applied in death penalty cases is very small, and there is no credible evidence to show that any innocent persons have been executed at least since the death penalty was reactivated in 1976... The inevitability of a mistake should not serve as grounds to eliminate the death penalty any more than the risk of having a fatal wreck should make automobiles illegal..."…

Troy Maxson transforms into a lonely, unloved, fearful man from his original position as the center of attention in his family and social world. Though he constantly tries to escape his life, Troy Maxson tries to engage life and challenge Death because he believes in himself and his convictions, however illusionary they may be. Troy begins by confronting his employees about their discriminatory practices, he boasts to his best friend Bono and family member that he is not afraid of death and he keeps a secret that he thinks he can get away with about his affair with Alberta. When Troy demands respect from his son, Cory, he gets it and when he teases his other son Lyons, Troy feels bigger and better. Shown through the three Fridays interspersed in Fences, Troy rapidly descends into a lonely, friendless and loveless life when his fears, his anger and his secrets get the better of him, causing his loved ones to lose their respect for him and to change their life so that they do not depend on his presence anymore. Troy forfeits his role of loving and devoted husband, generous and responsible parent and loyal, honest and inspiring friend. Troy goes from juggling two relationships with women to having none. Troy calls the risky action of having an affair with Alberta, "stealing second." If that is how Troy plays ball at the beginning of the play, then one could say he ends the play as a benchwarmer.…

he symbolic interaction perspective, also called symbolic interactionism, is a major framework of sociological theory. This perspective relies on the symbolic meaning that people develop and rely upon in the process of social interaction. Although symbolic interactionism traces its origins to Max Weber's assertion that individuals act according to their interpretation of the meaning of their world, the American philosopher George Herbert Mead introduced this perspective to American sociology in the 1920s.…
