Concert Review On April 8th 2004 I attended the "Music for Piano" concert featuring Bette Coulson and Philip Seward at the Columbia College Concert Hall. The show was only about an hour. Mr. Seward and Mrs. Coulson played five pieces together and then each play on solo. This was my first piano concert‚ of any kind‚ that I have attended. This was something new for me. The concert included seven different pieces. Claude Debussy composed three of them‚ La puerta del vino‚ Le Vent dans la Plaine‚ and

The concert I am reviewing is named “Bailando” and was put on by our MPDC is the spring of 2015 (my 8th grade year). I choose to critique this specific concert because I could not get to/afford professional shows and I have never seen one of our concerts from start to finish. Dance is my passion and I would like to see what it takes to reach each level. The first performance of the show was entitled “One Dance” and performed by both Junior and Senior Company‚ which was something I have not seen before

The song choice for this band seems very appropriate for the level of players in the ensemble. I also enjoyed the Christmas medley that they played with the concert being close to Christmas. The band had very good balance. They had a good foundation with the low brass and woodwinds. The upper woodwinds were not shrill sounding and blend very nicely into the foundation the lower instruments set for them. The rhythms were together and precise. They were able to switch between staccato and legato seamlessly

Brunswick‚ New Jersey. There were four different parts that I saw that day. All of the dances were very interesting and very different from each other. All of the dances had its own unique key factor that separated it from each other. I enjoyed the entire show very well. Out of all the dances I had strong reaction to “Lapa’s Lament”. Do you see any similarities between the rituals of primitive societies and rituals that we have in today’s society?
