    I favored the DVD over the written version of A Christmas Carol. Short stories and novels are not as interesting in my opinion. The book had a much darker tone throughout it. The movie had a slightly more lighthearted tone‚ with Scrooge laughing more often. There are multiple differences between the film and book‚ A Christmas Carol.
