This is the first article to describe a medical degree disparity between those physicians who receive EM R01 grants and those who do not. Over the last 10 years‚ the majority of recipients of an EM R01 grant have been allopathic physicians‚ and no osteopathic physician has received an EM R01 grant during that same period.
