Lady Macbeth is Macbeth’s wife. She fulfills her role among the nobility and is well respected like Macbeth. She is admired by others. King Duncan refers to her as “our honored hostess”. She is loving to her husband but at the same time she is very ambitious. Macbeth tells his wife of the witches’ prophecy that he is to become king.
