A Mother Can Be Anyone’s Best Friend
Anyone who believes the grand old saying, ‘Diamonds are a girl’s best friend’, is simply naive. Every year during the holidays, generations of family members get together in harmony. Such a gathering is orchestrated by she who, for many, is thought of as the family’s vertebrae. She is called “mother”. A mother was predisposed to self actualize as a very nurturing and grounded individual. This is not only with her children, but anyone who crosses her path. Mothers are equipped with the innate ability to nurture, to succeed at being tough yet tender teachers, and their spiritual strength; all these qualities are required in an ideal best friend. From conception, there is an unbreakable bond between a mother and her offspring. This bond does not only exist between a mother and her biological child. Instead, it exists for anyone that adores her. Her nurturing nature, paired with her sense of compassion, makes her the ultimate best friend. Throughout life, friends may share in many experiences, but none of which compares to those shared with one’s mother. She expresses her genuine love and desire to be involved in the lives of others in all of her actions. Many find it easy to confide in their mothers as they have maintained the trust of those they love. Although she is a friend to many, she is not entirely permissive or lenient in her relationships with others. As a result of her authoritative techniques, she has earned the utmost respect of all that confides in her. Many refer to mothers as a confidant. She is the only person, that will listen and without being judgmental assist where she sees fit. In most cases, her teachings are stern and to the point, however, she leaves room for one to make and learn from his/her own decisions. This method of teaching displayed by mothers has proven effective from generation to generation. Her active role in the community in addition to that in her extended family...
