A Lifetime of Nourishment

Nutrition is nourishment that the body needs to stay alive. It is a science that is constantly changing. The process of nutrition takes the food and utilizes it to help the body grow, repair and maintain.
Proper nutrition and physical health go hand and hand. Nutrition is important for maintaining physical and mental health and well-being. When you are healthy you can reduce many health problems both physically and mentally. When you practice a healthy lifestyle then you can reduce the effects that stress may have on your body physically and mentally. The body required six nutrients to function. Water which protect the body and hydrated the tissue, spinal cord and joint. Water also helps to regulate body temperature and energy. Fat is a nutrient that the body needs and uses for energy. Protein helps the structure of the body and helps to maintain healthy body functions. The body also requires a number of vitamins which act as regulators to aide in the digestion of food, movement of body parts, disposal of waste and generating new tissues that help the body heal.
We know what is needed though scientist what a nutritious diet consist of. However we do not always get what we need to be healthy. Scientist has developed a way to establish guidelines for females and males. These guidelines are given for age gender and different lifestyles. From there we have a basic starting point.
Science has also been able to assess the human body and find out what the body needs to survive. Through that process they have been able to give nutrients to people who have a deficient. To be able to correct what the human body is missing has greatly improved the lives of many people. The science is constantly changing and is a continual work in progress.
People change for many reason and the motivation may not be the same for everybody. Some people change for health reason, they become ill and a lifestyle change is what they need
