A Great Place to Hang Out in Seoul
A good place to have fun in my city IFC Mall is a great place to have fun. IFC Mall, a recently inaugurated complex, is a very clean and spacious mall which makes it a perfect place to hangout. Also, the location makes it even more perfect. You can enjoy the Yeoido Park which is right next to the mall as well. Although many people believe other places such as COEX, or famous department stores are a good place to hangout, I believe IFC Mall is an even greater place to hang out because you can shop diverse things, eat cuisines from many countries, and it has a great cinema. First and foremost, in IFC Mall, you can shop and buy various types of things which makes this shopping center a good place to hang out. Since there are many stores that are famous all around the world, there are a lot of options one can choose. You can buy sport related products because there are all the top sports brands such as Nike, and Adidas. Also, it is a perfect place to buy electronics since it has a large Samsung and LG electronics centers. In addition, you can find clothes from diverse countries, starting from Abercrombie and Fitch from the United States, ZARA from Spain, and UNIQLO from Japan. For these reasons, I think IFC Mall is a good place to hang out because you can shop many different things. Furthermore, in IFC Mall is a good place to have fun because you can eat diverse types of food. As well as shopping stores, there are also a number of professional restaurants. What I liked the most was that there were many types of restaurants. To begin with, I was delighted with the Mexican restaurant “On The Border”. The tacos, chipotles, and empanadas just made me feel like I was back in Chile. Also, a Japanese restaurant called “Abiko” was magnificent. It is a spicy Japanese curry restaurant. There are not much of choices one can make in the menus, but what people really like about this restaurant is the quantity of the food. Whenever you are hungry, I would greatly recommend you

David Guterson’s narrative about the Mall of America delves into several facets that are embedded throughout the mall both physically and mentally. A vivid description about the mall’s interior design makes the audience feel like they have visited the mall. Guterson also writes about how people, individually and as a society, are effected psychologically by this pseudo-metropolis. The grandeur of the mall is, without question, second to none. Shoppers are drawn to visit because of all the modern frills contained within. A theme park, arcade, hundreds of shops, and eateries are the staples of the mall, but the gardens, flowers, and trees define the mall as being “the best of the best.” The atmosphere created by combining “Mother Earth” with…

Also, the increase in online shopping has made the need for shopping at malls less necessary. Although, anyone from the wealthy to lower class can afford and enjoy popcorn, foot traffic is one of the best ways to advertise and gain sales. I would choose a retail location that has a mix of high end to discount stores for my shop because of the state of the economy and the increase in online shopping. For example, in one prime location in Los Angeles there is an enclosed high end mall with stores like Louis Vuitton, Prada, and Gucci. On the other hand, across the street there is an open air retail shopping center with a Target, Old Navy, Nordstroms Rack, Ross Dress for Less, TJ Maxx, and Marshalls. Both locations have a food court. I would choose to have my shop inside the food court with the lower end and discount designer brand stores. Upon observation, the retail center with the discount designer brand stores was always more crowded than the mall with the high end stores year round. I also enjoy the mix of shopping and an indoor/outdoor food court. Customers can purchase food and sit outside and eat in a café style area. This environment is ideal for a city with great weather like Los…

I could not help but to think that the purpose of a shopping mall was for everyone to have one convenient place to buy anything they desired. But, the viewpoints expressed though "Community through Exclusion and Illusion" by George Lewis and "Shopping for American Culture," by James J. Farrell, have led me to believe that the shopping mall also serves as a community center. Another article which captured my attention was Ira Zepp's, "The Shopping Mall as Sacred Place." They each express their ideas of how the shopping mall is not just a place to shop due to it's constantly availability, which has created an ideal environment for social interaction for people of all ages. Farrell…

The citizen of Chicago has a huge advantage over others. They don’t have to drive hours to find the food they want and they never worried about what to eat. Like most of the global city, Chicago has huge variety of food. The Chinatown provides huge variety of Chinese food and emphasized on the famous cooking style around China. I had visited all restaurants across the Chinatown over two years time. The authentic of the food is great in old town. Many people could agree that the Mall of America, located in Minneapolis, Minnesota, would be a great place to visit. A suggestion that was used in the book was to add entertainment to the center of the mall. The entertainment can be anything from holiday shows, occasional concerts, a playground for kids, or even just an open area with comfortable resting spots where customers can relax and de-stress. A perfect type of idea would be a small coffee house type of area that serves coffee and soda with a waitresses on staff to cater to each patron’s needs. Especially during the holiday season, this would be a great relaxing way for customers to rest their feet and collect their thoughts before heading to the next store on the list.…
