A brEssay on A bridge to Wisemans cove:
In the Teenage fiction novel, A Bridge to Wisemans Cove, Carl is one of the few people who change in the novel while being at wattle Beach and Wisemans Cove. Carl changes Physically, Socially and mentally. Harley also changes seeing his personality has developed as well as his decision making and Maddie also changes seeing that she isn’t the Maddie Carl knew before.
Carl was put in a tough decision trying to work out what both he and Harley are going to do for the future. Carl Develops physically, mentally and socially. Carl has become physically fit by working on the barge, His mind develops since he now needs to be in charge of Harley’s future and more importantly, his own and he has also met a new skill and that is being able to talk to girls without stumbling and being shy.
Harley is a typical young boy who has made a lot of wrong decisions throughout the novel, as soon as he met Aunt beryl, his life changed from being a nice young boy to an aggressive young child, he has been stealing food from the stores, trying to hit Aunt beryl but since he has been living with joy, everything has been different from wattle beach with Aunt Beryl.
Maddie was a very stubborn person until she truly knew Carl. She wanted to always see Nathan Trelfo but every time when joy said no she would go into her room crying and when Aunt Beryl took Carl, Harley, Maddie and Jasmine, Maddie Wanted to take Nathan to the osprey with her but joy wouldn’t let her so she went to her room and called Nathan but he said no.
Carl isn’t the only person who changes in the novel, these arguments put forward prove that other people change, not just Carl. Carl Changes in a variety of ways, Harley also changes personality wise and the choices he makes and he is now responsible for what he does and Maddie also changes because she is not as stubborn as she once was because she used to try and invite Nathan Trelfo to every event that happened in her life
