Yoongi Comes Home: A Fictional Narrative
Yoongi comes home with bright eyes and takeout from the place across the street. Jimin isn't really paying attention to what he's saying because he's so hungry and he hasn't eaten all day, he was so busy at work, until he hears the words 'they signed me'. Yoongi's grinning face was all he needed to see to know that yes, he did hear correctly, and yes, his boyfriend did just get signed to a label. He can't see the grin anymore because he's nearly tackled Yoongi in a hug, laughing and congratulating him, nearly smothering him, and he's shooting off questions, "how'd they tell you?," "what label?," "where's their studio?." The last question makes Yoongi falter, and he can almost hear his heart skip a beat. He opens his mouth, and for a second nothing comes out. "That's the thing. Yoongi gives him a puzzled look, almost hurt. "It's your dream. I'd rather you be living your dream somewhere else than stuck here with me," he says, and he means it. As much as it feels like he's twisting a knife into his gut, like someone just punched him, like he's lying, he means it, because Jimin doesn't think he's worth it. Not worth giving up a dream for. Not worth Yoongi. Yoongi looks down again, refusing to meet Jimins gaze. "I'd miss you; it wouldn't be living my dream," he whispered. Yoongi wasn't one for useless affection. He meant it. Jimin pulls a smile, even though he knows it looks fake as hell, and really won't fool Yoongi. He's just doing it to hold himself together, be as supportive as he wishes he felt. "We can still text. Call. Skype. Hell, I'll even send you a message by bird if the power is down." It pulls a tiny smile from Yoongi. Fake, but at least he's trying. "I just want to see you happy. You want this, I'm willing to suffer to see you smile," Jimin says softly, and they meet eyes, and there's sadness behind both of their plastered on
