World History 1.02

Part One:
1. The Holy Land is an important site for all three monotheistic faiths because it represents them all even if they have slightly different beliefs. For example, the Jewish have the Wailing Wall, the Christian have Holy Sepulcher and the Muslims have the Dome of the Rock. Each of these specific cities throughout Jerusalem hold special importance through there religion. For Judaism the Temple Mount and Cave of the Patriarchs symbolize there religion. As for Christianity, the Church of Holy Sepulcher and the Church of the Nativity and for Islam Kaaba and the The Green Dome in Medina.
2. The three religions have the same tree roots which then grew and expanded at different time and with different leaders towards different beliefs. They all started or got planted in the same place which is Southwest Asia. Also, the religions were once called the Abraham religions because of that common root. I think that the trunk means that they all believe in the all powerful GOD.
3. The three major holy books of the monotheistic faiths are similar because they all contain the holy scriptures recorded by followers inspired by God. The primarily difference between them all is that each religion considers what they say is "correct". For example in Christianity they believe in the trinity nature of God and Islam doesn't believe. Also, the Jewish faith doesn't believe that Jesus was the Messiah but Christianity does.
4. The basic beliefs of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam alike because they started out in the same place. They all are monotheistic so they only believe in only one God. The three religions share common beliefs.
5. The three religions are united by the same beliefs but they are marked by different things that they practice. They also have different customs and ideas. Also, they have smaller groups which are called sects or domination.
6. The differences between the three religions is that they have different sects, holy sites,religious leaders, holy book and a house of worship. They also have different symbols that represent there religion. For example, Islam has the five pillars and Christianity has sacraments and the Resurrection of Jesus and Judaism has food taboos.
Part Two:
1. What is the basic belief from all three religions? -There is only one all-powerful God.
2. What is the main similarity between the three holy books? - They all try to give the same message even if its in different words or language.
