World Health Organization Case Study
Nursing organizations were created to help nurses and other organizations obtain unbiased information backed by evidence-based practice to improve care provided to patients. All of the organizations mentioned in the lecture all have one thing in common; to ensure the patient is receiving competent as well as safe and clean medical care. The purpose of this discussion is to identify to organizations from our lecture; I have chosen the joint commission in addition to the World Health Organization. I will go on to discuss the purpose of these organizations and the impact these organizations have on nursing practice. the joint commission is the predominant body that sanctions the safety of many health organizations; their purpose is to persistently improve healthcare for the community in partnership with other bodies by assessing healthcare organizations and motivate them to excel in delivering safe and effective care of the maximum quality. This is achieved by accreditation, organizations volunteer to pursue accreditations and certifications. The joint commission has a positive impact on healthcare outcomes in ensures nurses and other staff members are safe while providing competent care. Inspections allow this commission to check up on organizations and lead them in the right direction. The joint commission provides education to ensure hospitals are continually improving and are providing safe and competent care. This commission pushes nurses to further their education and provide patients with the best evidence-based practice. The joint commission collaborates with other institutes to help in patient safety nursing research. The joint commission inspires healthcare excellence there many ways such as evaluating organizational performance, advancing safety and quality, providing information to customers, and providing supportive services. This organization advocates for patients by allowing them to speak up and help prevent healthcare errors.
