Why We Should We Keep Olympics
The topic of my paper is whether we should keep the Olympics or should not keep the Olympics.I think that we should keep the Olympics. I believe we should keep the Olympics because it is a fantastic way for the best athletes in the world to show what they can do. Also, it is a good way to keep athletes healthy. People are saying we should not keep the Olympics because the Olympics do not have all the sports. Yes they do not have all sports, but the Olympics keep growing so they could add the sports they don’t have. Another reason to keep the Olympics is because you can go watch some of the best athletes compete and spend time with your family having fun. When people say we should not keep the Olympics because they do not have all of the sports in the world I disagree. If they keep growing at this pace soon we will have everybody’s sport. Yes, they do not have your sport know, but they most likely will later. When the Olympics come athletes are training for months and months practicing to get ready to be perfect and ready when they go to the Olympics. Also, they go on diets to stay healthy and fit for the Olympics. “They keep to a strict diet, and put in hundreds of hours training in a week, all for the honour of competing against the best athletes in the world.” (Debatewise.org) Without the Olympics what would some of these athletes do with their lives? They could not do what they have been dreaming to do and practicing to do since they were little kids. Also, they would not be as healthy because they would not be going on diets.
