Why Schools Should Not Have School Uniforms
Do you think that all schools in the U.S should have school uniforms? Some people think that all schools should have schools uniforms, but most kids would not want that, it will make kids unhappy, there could just be a dress code, and it is expensive. In my opinion I think schools should not have school uniforms. In the first place, it could make the kids unhappy. Most kids would not like to wear the same exact thing every single day. They would want to express themselves by wearing what they want to wear, and not wearing a school uniform. Some kids want to be unique and stand out. Also certain styles on some body types could also make the kid unhappy with the way he/she looks and make it even harder for them with the way they look. The kid …show more content…
Why would schools want to waste a lot of money for something that they do not need? They would not. They could spend the money on more useful things, not something that schools do not need. The schools could spend the money on new equipment and more things that they actually need. Also kids would rather have new math, science, history books, and more for their school, then some uniforms they do not need. The new stuff would actually make the kids happy that their school has some new equipment, and they would want to be eager to learn and pay attention more, so they could use the new things. So schools should not spend any money on school uniforms. In conclusion, that is why I think that schools should not have school uniforms. They would make kids unhappy, they could just have a dress code instead, and it is too expensive. The school uniforms would make it worse for most kids. So it could also not make that want to learn, and parents want their kids to learn more, not want them to not want to learn. If kids do not learn then they could not get a good job or career. They would be stuck with a bad job and not get much money to help support their own family, or themselves. That is my reasons why schools should not have school

One of the reasons that school uniforms should not be allowed in schools because they are not cost effective. One reason why they are not cost effective is because some families cannot afford multiple uniforms, plus the clothes that students wear outside of school (Pakhare 1). Unlike the students who can afford three, four, or five uniforms, the poorer students’ one uniform will look worn out and used by mid-semester compared to everyone else (Stainburn 1). It will be easier to pick out the kids who cannot afford much. The social boundaries that uniforms were trying to get rid of will still occur with or without them (Cruz 47). The second reason behind why school…

Have you ever played Wheres Waldo? By issuing students school uniforms, finding a problem child would be a lot like playing that game in a real life situation. Just like any other argument you will have your pros and cons of the idea, but in my opinion and many others, the cons highly outweigh the pros of wearing school uniforms. Many intelligent individuals will lose their motivation to excel and be prevalent because they are used to being ordinary like everyone else. School uniforms shout conformity in many ways and to me that isnt the way to get your students to prevail in the classrooms.…

When was the last time you saw a child in their school uniform? Probably quite recently. But have you ever thought how these children feel ? their entire school is wearing the same thing they are wearing? These children wear the same thing every single day they go to school. The only time they get to wear their own style of clothes is on the weekend. Making children wear the same thing everyday, thinking it's a good idea that helps them in school, probably only makes them hate school more. There are many reasons why school uniforms are a bad idea and should not be enforced on children. To start with, to buy them costs a lot of money. Secondly, school uniforms stop the child’s individuality from being expressed, keeping the entire school as…

When you are going to put your child into school, most parents think about the cost of school and the money they are going to waste during the school year. well, if you put your child in a school that has uniform you will not be waisting a lot of money on clothes just to make them fit in, they also wont be bullied and they have a great chance of studying better. Clothing competition is going to be eliminated, no student is going to have the urge to waste so much time in the morning just looking for clothes, to just impress other students and since they dont have to do that they will feel relieved that they dont have to fit in and they will also resist peer pressure on buying trendy clothes. of course that would be for students who's parents…

For the most part, School Uniforms limit free thinking, and creativity. If the next generation of children were to have no creativity or free thought, they would become zombie fascists. Some parents feel that if public schools would enforce schools uniforms it would put a restriction on their child’s uniqueness or creativity. Although that argument is invalid, because wearing the same uniform would result in students expressing themselves through their personalities and attitude rather then pricey brand-named clothing that not every student can afford. Another argument that the individuals opposed to uniforms propose is that uniforms lack comfort. Parents say that the collared shirts can make some students itchy and that the pants sometimes don’t fit correctly so it makes the student uncomfortable, but others believe that most female students are uncomfortable wearing clothing that shows all their skin but do it because they crave attention and social acceptance. Uniforms would not cause students to be any more uncomfortable than they already…

Even though the argument on whether or not school uniforms takes away the student's right to self-expression will never end. Having school uniforms for the students to wear will eliminate bullies who pick on other students based on their clothing. Uniforms will eliminate the separation of social classes when that is mainly determined by what clothing a person wears. Last but not least, schools that require the students to wear school uniforms makes a formal look on the school. Uniforms may seem boring, but if they are able to help improve learning for students, they are a very reasonable…

However, as stated previously, school is a place to learn not, not to show off your clothing line and your personal swagger. Clothes don’t pick who you are, wearing the uniforms will show that they are all equal and that no one is better than the other one. So, I believe that wearing the uniforms will beneficial to the school, students and parents. Society must decide if individual expression through clothing is more important than education performance being improved because of uniforms being implemented into the school system. Parents and students should remember that uniforms may be required during school hours. After school students can express their individuality in a way, they dress outside of the…
