Why Rome Fell Essay

How Rome Fell Rome didn't fall in a meer twenty-four hours, just as it wasn't buit in a day. In fact historians aren't postive how long it took to fall, but they had narrowed it down to a year; 476 AD. There are an infinant number of reasons why this gigantic empire could have fallen; almost anything could have gone wrong. The Roman government wasn't made to last, the ostonishing number of emperiors they had and killed ruined their chance of survival. Then rise of Christianity was a big step in Romes path to self-distruction took the focus off of the dwindling government long enough for the barbarians to finish off the empire. While there are other beliefs about how Rome fell, the governent, Christianity, and barbarians really major factors in why rome fell. All in all, Rome was dooed from the begining. Romulous and Remus were the founders of Rome, as well as it's government. This government was terribly courpt and had holes where there should have been none.
To begin, when Rome was going through the tough times the had twenty-two emperiors in just fifty years. With this ineffecrive and inconsistant leadership Rome had stopped growing and evolving into what is could have become. The people had, instead of working with the leader to figure things out, ddecide that assaination was the way to go, aside from that the people also had a rough time choosing their leader. This shows how disrespectful and inconsiderate some of the people in Rome really were, which is my second point. Lastly, the population which at on point seemed as though it would never stop grow, in fact did. Because of this there was less tax money coing in then what was needed and it led to an increase in prices for everything else. Due to all of these problems with the government Rome was being distroyed from the inside out, but is that the only reason
