Why People Are Ruining The Welfare System
Ruining the welfare system for many people has gotten many others to get the wrong impression. No matter how hard it gets, often, having a backup plan is a good idea. Although, everyone does go through hard times it should not be a long-term plan. Stated by Jencks and Edin (1995) “Signals that people should not have children until they are ready to support them” (P.2). Everyone will struggle at one point with having all their bills and kids to pay for but, if the bills are not getting paid for then having a kid is probably not a good idea until everything can be paid for. Be smart when it comes to making life decisions. The welfare system if a very good throughout system except for the fact that people can abuse it. It is not fair to the people that ruin the representation of this system for the people that actually do use it right. Adults should have to volunteer and or work if they want to be with the welfare system. This system should be short-term, this would benefit many adults to get back on the right track and get their kids where they need them to be. The welfare system should not be a long-term plan, that is how many people abuse the system. Stated by Mecia (2018) “The idea: Just give people money. Ask nothing in return. Impose no requirement to work or to look for work.
