The play "Othello" by William Shakespeare, is about a man called Othello, who is dark skinned, and falls in love with Desdemona. Her father is Barbantio. Rodrigo loves Desdemona too and assigns Iago to try to make Desdemona leave Othello and love him, because Othello trusts Iago and they are friends. Every story or play has a villain, and the villain in this play is Iago. He dislikes both, Othello and Rodrigo. He hates Othello because he heard that he slept with Iago's wife, Emilia and because he choose Cassio over him to be his lieutenant. Othello believes Iago and especially when he proves to him that Desdemona is cheating on him, while she is not. At the end, Othello kills Desdemona and himself when he notices Iago made that up to take revenge. Iago is more than a 2 faced character. He is a sneaky person, and has the ability to make people trust him. Iago knew how to plan everything without a mistake, that made him a villain because lives were wasted for his evil
