Why Is Propaganda Important

Imagine how hard it would be living in a world where everything you do is controlled and limited. That is why it’s important for people to be able to read and comprehend because it shows that the person has an understanding of what they’ve read and not just simply read it. It limits a person who isn’t able to read and comprehend because it shows the person doesn’t have knowledge and understanding. It would also make them have to rely on someone else to help them understand the information. If that is done, then someone would be able to manipulate, brainwash, fool them, and tell you all the wrong things which are also apart of propaganda! The person or the group won’t know wrong from right, what is true and what isn’t. There will be a hold on that person's life, almost like a setback because they aren’t being treated equally and given equal opportunity to learn and be educated like others. People such as ones in government would benefit from people have little to no education. So many bad things can occur due to not having an education. Many jobs require that you have at least high school level education. If people are not educated then it leads to them not being able to get a job, then that trickles down to people possibly becoming homeless due to the fact that they can’t get a job and fend for themselves because they have no money to provide a well-living life. Not having an education leaves people vulnerable to society or a government because they are looked upon different, almost as worthless and not smart enough because they have no education. Back in time during slavery, African American slaves did not have the right to an education. Their slave owners did not want them to become smart, so most slaves lived their lives being illiterate and uneducated. Very few slaves were able to be educated; and the only reason why they were even able to, was because certain owners taught certain slaves how to read or write at times.
