Why Is Nail Care Important
Nail Care: A Quick Guide and Reason to Care
(H2) Nail care is a topic that isn’t talked about enough. If your nails look crappy and you aren’t making the connections you want, there really is a reason why.
When it comes to nail care, most people don’t understand why it’s such a big deal. They don’t understand why they should have to care for their nails and who is watching. The truth is, everyone that you come into contact with is looking at the condition of your nails. The fact is, your hands are one of the first things most people touch and if your nails look bad, most people are not going to want to touch you. It sounds superficial but it is the truth.

Have you ever thought about how much stuff you touch in a day? Have you ever thought about the damage those things can cause? What if you have a small tear in your skin because it’s dry and you touch a germy surface? You are giving germs a chance to get into your body because you didn’t take your nail care seriously. If you’d moisturized your skin, it may not have cracked, giving those germs a way into your body.
Nail Care Made Easy: DIY or Professional
Millions of men and women have gotten into the habit of going to nail salons or nail bars to have their nail care taken care of professionally. That’s a great idea. Manicurists have been trained to care for nails and can tell you when your nails are not healthy. When you choose to do this, it can be expensive but for those that have budgeted for it, it’s a cost worth paying.
For those that don’t have the money to go to a salon to get your nail care addressed, it is really not hard. When you think about it, it’s not expensive to address on your own either. A few supplies and a block of time each week and the appearance of your nails will improve

    Toxic Trio

Let's face it, when a woman arrives at a nail salon, the first thing she thinks about is the color of polish she is choosing or how excited she is to pamper herself. The last thing on her mind are the toxins that are in the actual nail polish. Little does she know, there are plenty of chemical compounds that are in each nail polish bottle, three of which are very toxic. They are formaldehyde, toluene, and dibutyl pthlate (DBP)-also known as the "toxic trio." These three toxins are in many famous nail polishes including the two leading brands, OPI and Essie. In 2006, a group of young women activists fought to eliminate the toxins, and they did. However, in 2012, the polishes were tested and to their surprise, the three toxins still existed. Why is this so? The Food and Drug Administration does not have any authority over companies to make them prove that products are safe before they are placed on shelves for consumers to buy, neither do they have control to demand a recall. With that said, this project was put together so that daily nail polish users can be more alert when buying or choosing a nail polish at a salon. The "toxic trio" is what makes every nail salon smell the way it does and it can cause many negative health effects.…

It is important for the nail technician as well as the client to be properly positioned throughout the service so that the treatment is as effective as possible. Both the technician and the client should be of the same height throughout the treatment. Ensure the workstation is of relevant height and use height adjustable chairs with a good back support. This is to prevent over stretching. Both should have an elbow rest pad and should be centrally facing each other ,also to prevent unnecessary stretching or strain. The desk should be positioned away from direct sunlight to prevent discomfort and interfere with products I.e. UV gel. Technicians should practice regular stretching exercises and should store all objects between knee and shoulder height. Neck and back problems may occur if not positioned correctly. Unnecessary strain will make the task harder to carry out resulting in an unpleasant experience for the client and a poor quality of work. You may also injure the client.…

Many young children pickup their habits young by watching older sibling or friends after observing one of them do it. Children tend to mimic them, and then eventually form a habit too. Though nail biting is diagnosed as a nervous habit, it’s not always their nerves causing the problem. It could also result from boredom, relaxation, or watching TV. For most, people take pride in clean finger nails. But some can’t seem to stop this habit of improving their nails. Therefore they end up trying to resolve the dilemma by improving the nails by means of gnawing either the nail or yanking at the cuticle to fix the problem (MSN Health Topics).
