Tutankhamun has created one of the most memorable stories of history in the ancient Egyptian history. Tutankhamen, one of the king of Egypt who had the smallest reign and his death tomb, was discovered late in 1922 by a historian Howard Carter. He started his leadership role as the king of Egypt with the name Tutankhaten which is thought to mean “Living Image of the Aten” and he changed it to Tutankhamun when he relocated to Thebes after abandoning Akhenaten. It is believed Tutankhamun was the son of Amenhotep IV as the dad and Queen Kiya one of the minor wives of his father. His mother was given the title “Greatly Beloved Wife of Akhenaten” because she is the woman who gave the reigning king an heir i.e. Tutankhamun. As the King, he married…

It is a part of the ancient city of Thebes (Dorman, Peter). The Valley of the Kings is a burial site of almost all the pharaohs from 1539-1075 BCE (Dorman, Peter). The pharaohs from that time period feared for the safety of their rich burials. They chose to conceal their tombs in a valley in the western hills behind Dayr al-Bahri (Dorman, Peter). The tombs have descending corridor with deep shafts and pillared chambers to confuse robbers (Dorman, Peter). The cases were covered with “sculptured and painted scenes” of the pharaohs with god and goddess. There were also magical texts to help the pharaohs on their journey in the afterlife (Dorman, Peter). All tombs were cleared out in the 21st dynasty to protect the mummies and to recycle the treasures back into the royal treasury. Tutankhamen’s tomb was discovered in 1922 under pile of rock chippings. The treasures in his tomb indicated “how rich the burial of a great pharaoh” must have been during that time (Dorman,…

Akhenaten, first known as Amenhotep IV, ruled Egypt between 1353 BC-1336 BC or 1351 BC-1334 BC (subject to debate). He was not the first choice for Pharaoh. Akhenaten only became successor to due the early death of his brother, Thutmose V. The source of his death is unknown. Akhenaten was the son of Amenhotep III and Queen Tiy. It is suggested that Akhenaten and his father ruled together for a brief time, but that is up for debate. After his father died, Akhenaten took over, as was his mother's wishes. Akhenaten's most famous wife was Nefertiti, who was made famous after a sculpture of her bust was found and put on display at the Berlin Museum. It is suggested, but not widely accepted, that his mother, Tiy, and Akhenaten acted as consorts to each other until she passed.…

As a judge of King Tutkanhaten’s leadership qualities while being being pharaoh, he was a great leader because he was understanding, nice, and orderly. One reason King Tut was a good pharaoh is because he was understanding, therefore he made his subjects happy. Tutankhaten was able to make his subjects happy because before he became pharaoh he was a farmer, Tut knew what the wanted and needed. Another reason he was an exceptional pharaoh was because he was very nice, and he wasn’t as harsh as previous pharaohs such as Akhenaten. King Tut probably wasn’t as mean because he was a young child and he hadn’t learned to be malice.…
