Why Is Gun Safety Important
268 or more citizens are shot and killed everyday due to the people that are in possession of a gun. Many people believe a gun is to have just for safety but others use it as a sport. Guns have been around for ages and with time have became more and more popular. Due to their popularity they have caused millions and millions of deaths all around the world. Most criminals around the world that are in possession of a gun are the ones who have caused these tragedies. Our society would just have been better off without these weapons that have caused so many terror and disasters to our country.

These celebrities believe it is right to be in possession of a gun for safety reasons such as in the case of a home intruder. Certainly, everyone’s safety is important. However, there are other ways to protect yourself and family members. By utilizing a gun for safety, it can cause the home intruder to shoot you or vice versa. The intruder may believe you are trying to argue with him by telling him to put the gun down and to not hurt anyone, which can cause a homicide to occur. Stated by the article “Debunking the “Guns Don’t Kill People, People Kill People”Myth”, written by Armed with Reason, ⅔ of the deaths involving arguments end with a result of guns. This proves how guns can have many horrifying results such as a homicide. According to the article “11 Facts About Guns” 20% of gun owners own 65% of guns. This shows how so many people that have violent thoughts can cause so many damage in just one instant.
