Why Is Animal Testing Wrong
Each year, more than 100 million animals die do to animal testing. (author, year) Every day in laboratories all over the United States animals are being tested on. The scientist use animals as test subjects because they believe it is the only way to test medications, soaps, and other products usually to meet for human uses. Animals are tested on to make sure products that humans use are safe but all products are not necessarily safe. After the animals are done being tested on they are put to death. In my opinion a Animal testing is wrong because we can now test products on alternative methods, animals make bad test subjects and do not ensure if a product is safe, and . Finally , animal testing in is is more expensive than alternative …show more content…
These new methods include sophisticated tests using human cells and tissues. This method is called the vitro method. Harvard’s Wyss Institute has created “organs-on-chips” that contain human cells. The cells have been grown in a state of the art system that replicates the human organ system. The chips can be used instead of the animals while testing drugs and toxins. A variety of test using the the organ chips have ensure the safety of products for humans to use. Using these chips will allow us to test multiple products without the use of animals. Animal testing is not only cruel but sometimes the products tested on animals aren't safe for use on humans. Animals are used as “models” for researching human disease and as test subjects for humans too. The cellular, anatomical, and metabolic differences between humans and animals are very significant. This makes them bad test subjects. All the differences between humans and animals, the studying of disease on them can give us the wrong information. Making and developing cures for diseases can be wrong. Ninety percent of the drugs test on animals don't work for human

Animal testing, is also known as animal experiments in the act of using non-human animals in research, to develop projects or scientific experiments. Statistics show that each year, there are millions of animals such as cats, dogs, mice, rats, ferret, hamsters and monkeys that experience mental and physical torture due to scientific research. Although most people agree that animal testing is horrible and cruel, there are few who this is it necessary to find new medicines. During the experiments, the animals are forced to inhale or sallow large amounts of test substances. Which are often found to be poisonous and toxic. The largest concern, is that animals are being used in experiments and not humans. Meaning that the results might or might not be useful for all the humans. Million of animals are suffering from poor conditions of living, and then to…

Animal testing is wasteful, useless, and dangerous. The experiments that are done on these animals are gruesome. Bountiful amounts of people (about 62% in 2004 according to Heather Mason Kiefer) argue that animal testing is necessary in order to produce safe products. On the contrary, several studies have found these methods to be questionable. They lack accurate, safe results.…

Animal testing, also known as animal experimentation, or in vivo testing, often uses non-human animals in experiments to test the safety of products and has been a topic of heated debate for decades. Although some research uses animals only for natural behaviors observation, F. Barbara Orlans claimed in her book, In the Name of Science: Issues in Responsible Animal Experimentation, that more than sixty percent of all animals used in animal testing suffer from experiment procedure or even get killed in biomedical research and product-safety testing. On the one hand, successful animal testing can lead to medical cures and treatments for human beings, on the other hand, opponents are doubting the reliability of animal…

Every year in the U.S., over 25 million animals are used in biomedical experimentation, product and cosmetic testing, and science education. If you use the chip that the people made you wouldn’t have to harm any more animal than you need to. Animals are innocent and shouldn’t be treated poorly by having drugs injected into them. This includes—dogs, cats, ferrets, rabbits, pigs, sheep, monkeys, chimpanzees, and more. Even rats are tested and they are the closest to human DNA. Even though rats are very close to humans, they have many differences. There is my second point why animal testing is pointless.…

Every year millions of animals are subjected to horrible unethical experimentations in order to advance medical science. Dogs, cats, monkeys, mice, and other animals are kept in dark rooms in cages while being exposed to various toxic and poisonous substances daily in order to test how the substance may react in humans. These poor creatures suffer from inhumane treatments and are denied any form of happiness, and these experiments should cease and alternatives should be used instead. Animal testing is a cruel and ineffective medical practice that produces unreliable results and those laboratories should use safer alternatives that will provide more accurate results.…

Animal testing for scientific or commercial use is wrong and inaccurate because animals are made up differently than humans. Animal testing is procedures done on animals for research to test medicine and commercial items to see if they are harmful or effective for humans. The experiments can cause the animals to have physical and mental suffering and distress. Most of the animals are killed at the end of the experimentation but some are used again in other experiments. The most common animals used for the experiments are fish, mice, rats, rabbits, guinea pigs, farm animals, hamsters, birds, cats, dogs, and monkeys. More than 115 million animals are used in experiments worldwide. Animals are living beings too, they should get the chance to live…

It might not be efficient at testing medicine because you will want to see how it affects human organs but you can also grow cells which is a lot more expensive but you can selectively choose what cells you want to grow like liver or muscle cells of anything. With this possibility the only reason to keep animal testing would be because of greed. “skin corrosivity and irritation can be easily measured using three-dimensional human skin equivalent systems such as EpiDerm and SkinEthic. Additional alternatives include EpiSkin (a model of reconstructed human epithelium) and a variety of sophisticated, computer-based Quantitative Structure Activity Relationship (QSAR) models that predict skin corrosivity and irritation by means of correlating a new drug or chemical with its likely activity, properties, and effects with classification accuracy between 90 and 95 percent”(NEAVS,…

Last year, over 167 million animals died due to animal research. At this rate, the number of animals that will die this year will be well over 200 million. Animals used in these testing facilities are treated in inhumane and disgusting ways. Dogs are forced to eat pesticides, monkeys have their skulls cracked, mice grow tumors larger than their own bodies, bunnies are blinded, the list of cruelties goes on and on. After having these excruciating and terrifying experiments performed on them, they are usually dumped back into a cramped…

Some may think that animal testing is something that can help with finding cures for bad diseases. But the truth is that animal testing is useless and harmful to animals. It is bad because so many animals get hurt during the process. Also animals get murdered and suffer after the testing even if it works. According to Animal Testing 101 100 million animals die each year from animal testing.…

According to some national statistics, nearly two-thirds of all animal research has little or nothing to do with curing human diseases or advancing human medicine. Animals testing prolong the suffering of people waiting for effective cures by misleading experimenters in the wrong direction, and wasting resources that could have been spent on more relevant research. Humans and animals may have brains, hearts, lungs, arteries, kidneys, and so on; but animals bodies are made up differently. Dogs for example, they walk on all fours; humans do not use four legs to walk. So to do an experiment that deals with animals legs compared to human leg would be a wasteful matter, dogs legs are formatted different.…

I think that people should stop testing products on animals. If they want to test new products they should test it on humans. Testing these products on animals can kill them. They need to find something else to test products on other than animals. Other people think that's its fine to test products on animals. People shouldn't test these products on animals. I disagree with Animal Experimentation. Millions of these animals suffer and die from this. Testing these products on animals can blind them. Testing these products on animals can affect the population of certain breeds. Why do they test products on animals? They test these products on animals so they don't have to test it on humans, but i think that it would be better if they tested it on humans who volunteered to test these products instead of some innocent animal.…

    Animal Testing Inhumane

Within the next 24 hours, approximately 27,000 animals will have died from being tested on. Animal testing involves various forms of lab experimentations and procedures on living creatures such as dogs, pigs, farm animals, and rodents. The tests performed are most commonly used to determine the specific effects of a consumer or industry product such as cosmetics, medicines, and chemicals. Animal testing is extremely inhumane due to the administrations conducted on the animals. They suffer through a wide variety of dangerous chemical and medical exposure, genetic mutation, numerous different forms of surgeries and intentionally inflicted wounds or infectious diseases, and psychological and behavioral experiments. The animals face distress, cognitive issues, excessive amounts of pain and severe injury, and ultimately suffer a cruel…

Scientist have found a way to collect better results by using human cells instead of animals’. Since the products are used on humans, why not use human cells? For example, in glass testing, studying cell cultures in a Petri dish, can produce better results than testing animals because human cells would be tested (Rogers). Using the Petri dish to better study human cells is worthwhile. Some scientists use chemicals when working with the animals, but in result the outcome is not as accurate as it can be if the scientists used human skin cells. Artificial human skin is made with sheets of human skin cells grown in test tubes or plastic wells. This process gives more useful results than testing chemicals on animals (Rogers; Watts; Axonn News Agency). Lastly, evidence shows that the new form of testing can predict the toxicity levels of products without performing acts on the animals that can lead to injuries. Microfluidic chips, organs on a chip, which are lined with human cells and recreate the functions of human organs, are in very advanced stages of development. These computers will be able to predict the toxicity of substances without cruel testing on the animals (Watts). Many people may argue that as useful as it can be to study the cultural cells, it also takes away the opportunity to study the interrelated systems,…
