Why Is Ancient Greece Important To Today

Many people don't know about ancient Greece. ancient Greece is an amazing civilization that existed years ago. ancient Greece develop many things we have today, including the Olympics, are alphabet and they even created Inventions that lead us towards technology! many people don't think of ancient Greece as inventors of our ideas, but they gave us pretty much all of our ideas. all of our modern stuff today was ether invented by the Greeks or we improved it and made it our own. therefore we need to thank the greets for all they have taught us today.

Olympics- The Olympics were created by the Greeks. The Olympics were a little different in ancient Greece though. In ancient Greece girls were not allowed to compete. They also had to compete completely naked! Gross right. If one did the Olympics in Greece they
Chances are if he would have never found out about the Greek alphabet, we would have never created our own. The Greeks use their alphabet to write, read and of course learn. They use their alphabet just like we use ours. Some differences are they only had 24 letters and we have 26 letters. Their letters are also very different than ours. Our first letter is A, and their is Alpha. Even though the alphabets have some big differences, they were all influenced by the greeks.

Technology is a big part of america today. Everyone uses technology at work, in school, at home and even in hospitals. The Greeks were the ones that influenced technology. In Ancient Greece they didn’t have cell phones, but they had other things to influence us. For instance, the Greeks created the first alarm clock. It didn’t look like the ones we have today, but they still made it work. Our scientist today took their information and grew off of it. For example, now we have apple watches all because the ancient Greeks made the simple alarm clock. So without the Greeks we would have never even had simple
