Why I Chose Southwest Research Paper
Three reasons why I chose Southwest. There are many reasons why a student would chose to go to Southwest. I chose Southwest because they make it affordable for a student who could not afford a four year university. Southwest is also only fifteen minutes away from my where I live. Therefore, I am able to live from home. Also, Southwest offers the classes that I need to take that goes towards my degree. The first reason I choose Southwest Community College is because it is affordable. Many teenagers have taken on the responsibility of living on their own. This means that they have their own bills to pay for. Money is hard to come by and college is not cheap. Southwest offers many financial options and scholarships for students. Four year colleges and universities tuition can cost up to forty thousand dollars, but at Southwest you can take two years of college that will equal up to or even less than a year at a four year university. A lot of colleges that teenagers will attend have to pay for parking. They …show more content…
I am big on seeing family, so it made it easier for me to stay closer to see all of them. Not only me, but most people who attend Southwest community college have jobs can not just up and quite to go and get a further education at a four year university. At Southwest it makes it easier for teenagers and adults that have part time and also full time jobs to get a degree. I live at home still, but most people out of high school still live at home as well. By attending Southwest it is only fifteen minutes from my house to the college, so it really does not make me have to get an apartment closer to it. At Southwest it really makes spending the smaller holidays with your loved ones easy. Yes, I get out for major holidays, but I have elderly family that will not be here forever, so it gives me the pleasure of spending time with
