Why I Chose Cosmetology
Have you ever decided what you wanted to be whenever you grow up? I'm sure by the time you get to your last semester of high school people ask you all the time, what do you want to be when you grow up or when you graduate high school? You've heard this question since the time you were little. But some people may know what they want to be and some may still be un decided.
I know when I graduate high school I want to go for cosmetology. Actually by the summer after I graduate high school I should have a degree in cosmetology.
I'm sure you're wondering how. Well at my school we have this program that allows you to go one step further. This program is called Twin Rivers. In order to be in this program you have to be accepted into it. It's a two

Cosmetology is a professional skill or practice of beautifying the face, hair and the skin.
Working in the cosmetology area a cosmetologists could earned an average annual salary of $41,490. Their pay is usually based on experience, geographical area and the size of their employers. The middle half earned between $18,420 and
$30,000 annually, and the lowest 10 percent made under $16,710 per year.
Cosmetologists who work full time can usually expect to receive benefits that include paid time off and medical insurance. One extra benefit for working in cosmetology is that you could open up your own shop and own your own salon.
It takes time to figure out what you want to be when you are older. Not everyone grows up to have a dream of doing something or always having this plan that they plot in their head of what they want to do whenever they are older. For some it even takes them until they have graduated high school to go to collage and figure out what they would like to do or be. In order to work in cosmetology you have to have a desire for it. Every since I was a little girl I've ways wanted to do hair or work in the nursing field. After I graduate high school and finish my cosmetology I'm thinking about going to school to be an Register Nurse.
