The first reason why high school students should acquire more freedom is because if the teacher show that they trust their students, then most likely they will start acting their age. In college the professor don’t care if you are paying attention to him or paying more attention to your phone, Thats the student fault. They aren’t going to keep nagging at you when you need to come in and retake a test. They don’t feel bad that you got an F on a test, they are pretty much say sorry welcome to the real world. So high school should be like that, I know that as you get older that’s how it goes but maybe starting earlier. For example if you do have the privilege of taking a college class and you can leave, but you know that you have a test next hour and you should study. That would be teaching us maybe that we always can’t do what we want, and sometimes we may have to do something we don’t want to. This could also teach us more about the outcome of not studying and leaving to go and get something to eat. Last giving us more freedom is we would get to learn when to leave where ever and be able to get back to the school and not be late.
For those reasons high school students should be given more freedom during their 4 years of high school. High school students should have the opportunity to acquire freedom due to preparing students for college, responsibility, and to make mature decisions.
