Why Do We Need Censorship?
Our society needs censorship because things have gotten out of control. If the government fails to exercise control over what people have access to, God’s children will completely fall apart. In the book, Fahrenheit 451, Ray Bradbury’s character, Baetty, tries to tell the people that the books they are reading are bad for them. He feels like censorship is needed in that society. Censorship can help keep children under control and sometimes cause children and parents also to think about what they see and hear. Becoming one, protecting children and letting racism go is why we need censorship.
As of right now our society is falling apart. The people in this generation are not in unity and that’s what we need. In God’s eyes, all of the people

The people also think that it should be censored for an older audience as well. Things such as movies and Tv shows should be censored in accordance of children. These types of things should be taken offensively.

Censorship is a good thing because it limits inappropriateness in many ways. For example, in the book Fifty Shades of Grey, there is inappropriateness shown in a sexual way and a verbal way and shows abuse. This shows that some books should be censored, due to inappropriate things in novels, magazines, and in movies. In conclusion censorship isn’t always a good thing.…

Although I don’t agree with most forms of censorship, I feel as if it is important in certain situations. For instance, television must be censored because all age groups watch it, and it influences younger children’s behavior because they have seen it on television. Not to mention anyone at any time can watch TV. Whereas censoring books is completely different. The reader has the option to read the book, making the author not reliable. Not just any age group can pick up a book and begin to read the content. But a six-month-old baby can sit in front of a television and be influenced by the action of a criminal. Certain things influence certain age groups and I feel as if books shouldn’t be responsible. You have to actually read a book; you cannot just sit and watch the pages. I feel as if censorship should appeal to only things that require it, and in my opinion, books do not require censorship.…

Censorship is supposedly done for the good of the people. Such as today, we see obscene material censored from our public in television. We can easily brainstorm numerous reasons for why it's appropriate to maintain this procedure, it promotes the decency in people or at least, that is what we see. However, just because something is censored doesn't mean it's done for all the right reasons. Just as there are good consequences for censorship, we may see negative outcomes. In Fahrenheit 451, we read plenty of negative outcomes. It led to the illegal behavior of Guy Montag into pursuing books, going against his job's purpose and murdering his boss.…

In the world today there are many controversial topics which lead to many different perspectives about the different topics. A controversial topic is censorship. Censorship is the prohibition of any parts of books, movies, etc. that are considered unacceptable in society. Censorship is like any other controversial topic, there are people who are supporting and opposing censorship. But the people who live in the world are split between pro-censorship and anti-censorship, whether or not to censor certain books at schools. Definite view for pro-censorship has occurred in the Supreme Court ruling and the opinion of a congress member. While definite opposing view toward censorship is Gavin Mcinnes and Michael Anti. In order to understand the purpose…

Censorship fears dissent. When someone challenges a book they are worried by the different, and new ideas that a book can cause to be created. When different ideas are formed, now opinions form as well, and so does dissent. It is the goal of censorship to eliminate this differentiation in thought. It was precisely this censorship that Ray Bradbury was looking at when he wrote Fahrenheit 451. He looked at what would happen if all books were banned, instead of just books that people found offensive. The result was a dark and oppressive society that was devoid of any free thought and new ideas besides those created by the presiding powers that controlled the media. Bradbury was writing about the future that he saw occurring based on the increasing…

There are some times where it is needed little, and also times where it is not needed at all. And even the times it is needed, it is not needed to the extent that it is used. There are very many ways censorship is bad for this country, and very few ways it is actually needed. Censorship in the knowledge of other countries, censorship from the government, censorship in technology, and censorship in learning are just few ways censorship is misused in the U.S. Everyone knows, as well as the pro-censorship believers, that censorship is misused in some areas. And that other areas it is not needed at all. Anyone that is pro-censorship knows well enough that it is wrong, the way it is misused. To close my argument i would like to point out the fact that pro-censorship believers have no real reason behind why it is a good thing, and cannot prove wrong that it is bad for not only children, but everyone in america. Now, i would like to resm my case by again saying to simply look into the negatives and positives of censorship, and see which one outweighs the…

Censorship has been a controversial topic for as long as it has existed. Should media and books be censored? And if so, who gets to decide what is? Censorship prevents people from being able to have their own thoughts, since everything is delivered in a "safe" form. This results in the inability to involve or move forward in society. These topics are explored thoroughly in Fahrenheit 451, a book written by Ray Bradbury in 1953. The story takes place in a dystopian society where all books are banned and free thinking is discouraged and punishable. It is told from the point of view of our protagonists, Guy Montag, whom of which is a firefighter that (ironically) sets fire to books, destroying them. From his perspective do we witness the true dangers of censorship and how it prevents the characters from thinking for themselves which, if continues, will cause humanity to fail ro evolve and move beyond their mistakes.…

Our culture should not have censored material. I think that if you have censored material it is hiding away part of the real world. Keeping controversial and upsetting material away from the public eye promotes ignorance and stupidity, but I feel that sometimes there should be limitations for the comfort of others. Overall, people should become more open minded and except the fact that they are going to see or hear things they do not want to. I think if you do not like something, then do not do anything that has to do with it. In Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury he shows that censoring material causes people to become lazy and not think.…

Well, racism has affected many people worldwide and is also one of the most intensely social problems in history. In the early modern period (past) racism had begun. Censorship protects our children from seeing what could possibly damage them mentally and keeps things that should not be seen in public to stay in the shadows. Many people hate censorship because they think it takes away their freedom of speech. It doesn’t because as long as the people don’t say things that should be said they won’t be censored. Censorship stops things from being seen that shouldn’t be. Censorship is a necessity for the new…

Racism is a global problem that has existed throughout the history of mankind. Despite the different kinds of measures taken against racism including African-American Civil Rights movement, Anti-Apartheid Movement, Hate Crime Laws, or bans on any racism manifestations, it continues to be a constant concern. For some people, it is a vague concept, because it reveals itself in different forms. For others, it is simply based on unreasonable believes and hate. So racism, after all, became a label that is used for humiliation, based on hatred of the individual or even entire ethnic groups. I will try to address the problem of racism from several points of view taking into account the areas in which racism exists and manifest itself; to prove that…

Censorship is caused when books, movies, etc. are examined, and unacceptable parts are suppressed or the whole thing is banned. Schools nationwide have been banning books due to reasons such as racial issues, sexual explicit content, religious affiliations, violence, political bias, encouragement of “damaging” lifestyles, and etc. Often it is argued that banning books protects students from being exposed to inappropriate content, while others say that students should have the freedom to read what they want.…
