Why Do Police Need To Carry Deadly Weapons?

Police force sometimes needs to carry deadly weapons to ensure citizen’s safety and public regulation which is definitely police’s duty and responsibility. However, these weapons bring some controversy about whether it could lead to an escalation of crime in that society. Personally, I believe this should be discussed on both hands. Obviously, the police force in places with higher crime rate should carry a gun to steer clear of severe criminals. However, the policemen in peaceful places such as museums better not be equipped with a weapon because the dangerous equipment can frighten the crowd. It is more suitable to show the kindness to people there.
Secondly, carrying a weapon should depend on a police officer’s line of work. For example, the policemen or policewomen who take control of traffic regulations better not carry a gun as this action can scare drivers off. But, no doubt, the police who supervise prison must bear arms.
For instance, the country which gives the right to their citizen to enforce police force, such as the US, can allow police officers to carry firearms all the time so that they have chance to dominate when they are against law-breakers. On the other hand, in China the police force may not carry a gun when they are on duty because people are not allowed to have a gun except the police. In conclusion, it is not possible to conclude a decision about whether it is proper for the police force to carry a gun in all case. The situation, the duty of their work, and the background of their country should all be considered when talking about this
