Why Did The Allies Punish Germany
The European allies were more interested in punishing Germany then creating a lasting peace. I Believe they did this for many reasons. Even though they might have known it wasn't fair they did it anyway. One reason I believe this is because Europe had suffered so many casualties and deaths they had also lost a lot of land. Germany on the other hand didn't have as much as Europe. But they had to live right next to each other. So Europe probably didn't want to have to live next to Germany knowing in some ways they lost more than Germany. Germany was punished greatly in the treaty of Versailles. They lost a lot of territory and had severe restrictions placed on their military operations. Germany had to pay for the allies reparations. They
