Why Are Gun Safety Laws Important

Gun safety law are what protect our children, family, friends, and pets. Should we accept more gun safety laws? We already live in a world where gun safety laws are pretty strict. The increasing of safety laws would deprive citizens of protecting themselves. Everyone legally has a right to have a gun. To have even more laws would restrict them to their rights which is outrageous. Gun safety rules are already strict enough and we do not need any extra pressure. Gun safety laws have protected people for many years without any changes. Gun safety laws don’t need to be increased but enforced. After the death of President John Kennedy, Attorney General Robert Kennedy and Martin Luther King, Jr., gun safety laws were put into action. The law that was put in place was called the Gun Control Act which has been around since 1968. This act has gone above and beyond with protecting citizens. The Gun Control Act set boundaries and regulations for citizens. The act also made the selling of unregistered guns or transferring unregistered guns illegally. This law is one of the many created to protect the citizens of America. The restriction of guns allowed for safer communities and calmer environments.
This could lead to the establishment of safer states and better communities. Also, lower the chances of accidental gun deaths.
