Why Animal Testing: Should Animals Be Used As Test Subject?
Animal Testing: Should Animals Be Used as Test Subject? Over 100 million animals suffer and die in the U.S. every year in cruel chemical, drug, food, and cosmetics tests as well as in medical training exercises and curiosity-driven medical experiments at universities (PETA n.d). These animals are locked in barren cages with fear shown in their eyes waiting for the day when all of the misery will stop. Animals which are being tested are beautiful creatures that have the right to live normally and regularly; there is no excuse for exposing the lives of these animals to sufferance. In fact, animal experimentation is considered as a bad science and loss of ethics. Moreover, the animals do not have the ability to claim their rights, …show more content…
Also, they claim that animals experimentation helps to develop and improve many medical treatments. However, people should realize that this in not an excuse for risking the lives of these animals; it is a cruel and inhuman to do experiments on animals. Moreover, animal testing can have an unsure result “Animal Research Study Shows Many Tests Are Full of Flaws”(Goldacre, 2010). Also, scientists had found other research methods that can be followed to test the effectiveness of a product such as in vitro (test tube) which is a test method based on human cell (Vitro, n.d). Likewise, the alternative scientific tests are often more reliable than animal tests because animals are different from human beings and the result can be irrelevant.

As can be seen, being without any ethics and leading these animals to death are the primary reasons behind why animal testing should be stopped. Animal research to test a product is a cruel act and people who support these operations are inhuman and without any morals and standards. Also, testing these animals can let them suffer from serious pain and injuries which can lead them to die. In addition, these animals deserve to be respected and protected from any harm that can be caused to them. Scientists should think twice before using animals as test

An estimated 26 million animals are used every year in the United States fir various types of testing. These animals are used for scientific and commercial testing to develop medical treatments, determine toxicity of medications and chemicals, check the safety of products destined for human use and other biomedical or healthcare purposes. This testing on animals is cruel, inhumane and should be banned. It should be banned because the animals are held and live in inhumane conditions, it is harmful and at times lethal to the animals and there are other research method available that do not require animal testing.…

The first reason why we shouldn’t have animal testing is because animals are getting hurt or abused. “Over 100 million animals are burned, crippled, poisoned, and abused in US labs every year.” The chemicals that the people are using are burning or other worse things to them. The chemicals that they use on the animals could hurt or kill them. Over half of side effects cannot be detected in…

Dogs, cats, monkeys, mice, and other animals are kept in dark rooms in cages while being exposed to various toxic and poisonous substances daily in order to test how the substance may react in humans. Every year millions of animals are used in more than 1,000 laboratory experiments across the country. The facilities imprison millions of animals and exhaust millions of dollars to cause pain and suffering that are irrelevant to the diagnosis of the human well-being. Universities, hospitals, contract laboratories, pharmaceutical companies, and government agencies contribute to unethical animal testing. The cruel living conditions and senseless torture of these animals goes unnoticed by the majority of worldwide citizens. It is important that we bring this heinous practice to the attention of those who are unaware of these unethical procedures.…

One compelling reason to put a stop to animal testing is it’s unreliable. In fact a drug tested safe on animals was released and turned out to be toxic.Surely if we are relying on animal testing to cure diseases, it should be almost 100% accurate so children or adults who end up taking that drug to help them with their illness don’t end up dead. Also animal and human systems are quite different, penicillin is toxic to guinea pigs.Penicillin a drug, we use is toxic to guinea pigs an animal that could have prevented this drug from coming out because a guinea pig could have tested it and clearly the animal would have a negative reaction. One final example is 92% of drugs approved for testing in human trials fails to be approved for human use.Clearly animal testing is unreliable.…

Animal testing has always been a dispute between people; some people think it’s morally wrong and some people think it helps with medical and scientific breakthroughs. Drugs that people use or cosmetics that are used could have been tested through animals before being stocked on shelves. About 800 animals are tested on before a drug is passed to clinical trials (“Is animal”). Many animals get tested on, but many like mice, rabbits, hamsters, monkeys, dogs, cats, pigs, and some other animals get tested on. Animals can be used to find new advances in medical treatment and check safety for products, but these animals that get tested on can go through pain and death. Animal testing is wrong and should be stopped because…

Millions of animals are used every year for a wide variety of scientific and medical purposes. Some of this scientific research is to learn about and improve the welfare of animals, but most of the animal experiments are unfortunately conducted for human benefits. An estimated eight million animals are used in painful experiments, which can range from getting pricked with a needle to more severe experiments, and ten percent of these animals do not receive painkillers. Then after all of the pain that they had been put through, some of them are euthanized when scientists are no longer in need of experimenting on them. Animal rights advocates want government agencies to impose heavy restrictions on animal research, but their opposition of painful animal experimentation is matched by the growing concern that these restrictions would pose a threat to scientific progress. Although there has been scientific progress from this, animal testing is still cruel, immoral, and unnecessary because all animals, like humans, have value and are worthy of being treated with respect.…

Animal testing has been around for many years, but is it ethical to do this? Millions of animals are killed each year for experiments, lessons, chemical and biological lessons, medical training, and cosmetic testing. During the process, animals are forced to inhale/swallow testing substances, restrained, crushed, and many more. By the end of the experiment, animals are “nothing more than disposable laboratory equipment (“Experiments on Animals Testing”).” While there are many alternatives to animals testing, is it really necessary to use this method to benefit humans?…
