The story Romeo and Juliet is a story about two crossed lovers who were killed by someone else's mistakes. At the end of the story, Juliet drank a potion in which would “kill” her for 42 hours. Friar said that he would deliver a note to Romeo saying that Juliet would wake up and she would be fine. Friar was unable to deliver that note because the black plague was going around and he was not able to enter Mantua, therefore Friar was to blame for their deaths.
In Romeo and Juliet, the Friar was to blame for many reasons. Juliet came to the Friar because she was forced to marry Paris and she wanted to marry Romeo. Lord Capulet was a part in this tragedy because he said he would disown Juliet if she didn't marry Juliet. This caused Juliet to go to the friar for help because she didn't want to marry Paris. Juliet went to the Friar for help she got the potion and drank it. When Capulet found out his daughter was dead he was heartbroken. He believed Romeo killed her. “Despised, distressed, hated, martyred, killed!” (SS 460). Lord Capulet says this after he finds his daughter dead after she wakes up from being ‘dead’.
In conclusion, Friar was to blame for Romeo and Juliet's death. He didn't think things all the way through. He didn't think about the consequences.
